I was listening to this and enjoying the sort of "death disco" vibe where it gives the threatening sense that the song itself is trying to kill me... then remembered that that's literally what happens here. Good job, Danny.
In a game filled with catchy music, this one easily stands out. Excellent job on this Danny, perfectly catches the atmosphere of the boss' visual and atmospheric theme!
Angustehgreat Indeed. A lot of games actually do that with their music. It's cheap, easy, effective, and may come in various flavors, like its dark reprise in the final battle.
Best song to listen to after a goblin sea creature thing signs a loan off of you for way too much gold, and turns out to be another pirate crew that stole all your shit (in a silly way tho)
Dr. Pew But you don't destroy them, you just attack the tentacles until the get out the battle. I think we don't destroy any instrument, that would makes me sick.
I was looking up the location for Coral Riff's individual instrument files (In the DannyB soundtrack, when you kill an instrument, it gets removed from the song), and I saw this in the google results! www.reddit.com/r/necrodancer/comments/31g75w/coral_riff_sheet_music_midi/
It would have been funny if every time you killed one of the instruments they dissapeared and that instrument wouldn't be in the song any more Of course that would have been very hard to code though
@@derekgetz5826 The difficulty of the boss is proportional to how many enemies they are accompanied with, atleast for me. Coral Riff having only the tentacles as "other enemy", while King Kong has tons of them due to the two conga lines.
The whole song should have been built around that superb bass riff in the intro.
The riff in the beginning plays underneath several sections of the song, not just at the start.
it really is tho
It is.

Panic at The Disco
0:22 you can still hear the sloshing every other beat even if it's missing
One of the best boss songs ever, almost felt like a final boss tune if it was a bit longer.

yes my favourite SONG!!!!!!!!!!
@tsunami_nine It still completely slaps
Hello fellow Coloradoian
This battle is so incredibly easy with a whip.
Czardonyx ok More so with a bow and levitation
Czardonyx Hell, a good dagger would end it quickly.
Throwing. Woo.
Broadsword too. Also Warhammer (i think it's DLC exclusive tho)
you get the fight for free with the Earth spell, literally just tap up until you get close to the head and cast Earth for an instakill
Even a broadsword, really.
now i want a trumpet boy meme with this song

I love this song, but it doesn't feel the same without the bosses's Mmmm sound around the 1:15 and on part
This song slaps. Especially the bass. In a literal sense. Ok, I'll go.
_GOD this song is such an absolute banger_
I come back to this song almost six years later, and I'm still in awe.
Anyone noticed that this is a remixed version of the lobby music? Or the other way around. Seriously, check it
+HotShot888 No the first way around is right, since Coral Riff was added later :D
+HotShot888 It sounds pretty similar. Although Coral Riff's one is the which one who really kicks ass
+HotShot888 This and the Lobby are a remix of 1-1: Disco Descent.
TechTheHedgehog don't forget that 1:1 is spread all across the game.
Angustehgreat Indeed. A lot of games actually do that with their music. It's cheap, easy, effective, and may come in various flavors, like its dark reprise in the final battle.
Danny B is a genius
DANNY IS A GENIUS
The instruments and style of this remind me of "Disco a Go Go" from Timesplitters: Future Perfect. Ahh, memories

Most viewed boss theme. Good, let's keep it this way.
Such a groovy song
I can never get tired of this song.

I love this song along bosses' bgm. Sonh has very good mood and the boss is EZst.
This song seriously trips you up if you fight them after king conga.
This is me favorite music.
BEST SONG IMO
I quit the game if I ever get Coral Riff.
Why?
_I can't handle Instruments getting destroyed._
Dr. Pew But you don't destroy them, you just attack the tentacles until the get out the battle.
I think we don't destroy any instrument, that would makes me sick.
when you destroy it it goes outside of the area its not broken it still works just doesnt attack you
you don't wanna end up like one of those japanese schoolgirls with the tentacles
But his head is a Bass...
Amazing

In my version of the game, the song’s instrumental de-syncs itself.
There's something about defeating this boss that doesn't feel right...
If anyone has the sheet music for this..

Okay is it just me or does it sound like the detective conan theme song????
Heard a slightly different version with less synth and something more bongo sounding for those drums used to outro and intro pre chorus. Any ideas?

It would have been funny if every time you killed one of the instruments they dissapeared and that instrument wouldn't be in the song any more

Maybe it would have been easier if the song were MIDI-based, rather than MP3/OGG-based. Oh well, the game is great as it is.
