Awww, I’m a beginner Sometimes I want to cry cause on the mannequin it’s hard to practice , and my friends and family doesn’t want me to do them lashes so I’m literally stuck , posting my service for as low as $65 without any luck , 💔
And it’s hard and sad cause this is what I REALLY WANT AND LOVE TO DO .
I just want to say that you are a professional. Once you got more than 1 year experience plus all the knowledge you are giving the newbies, makes you and expert. For sure doing a great service by just TEACHING and making other girls confident by letting them known they will get better and also that they will be ok. Practice makes perfect. 💪🏼
Thanks hun that means a lot! This is pretty much my journey and what helps me and I know a lot of girls have been in the industry longer than me and probably will do a better job at teaching things. But I made my channel to help out the new girl if my two years worth of experience can help out the new girl barely coming into this industry not knowing anything and if I can make their job easier then that's all that matters to me. Omg gurl same!! To this day I still have family asking me for "family" discounts and will say nvm when I tell them no and will jump the minute I ask them to be my models but don't even share my work it talk about my business 🤷🏻♀️ like what's that all about 🤦🏻♀️
@@YoyisLashBeauty I feel like they have to respect the hustle. If they don’t respect the fact that this is ur passion then they don’t deserve the service. This is an art, a source of fulfillment when it’s ur passion. I hate that ppl are like that... it’s disappointing to kno ppl closest to us don’t understand that. I’m so supportive when it comes to others passion that I’m always wondering y I don’t receive that back. But the best thing about it is that someone in the world will appreciate it we just have to manifest those type of ppl. I’ve been lashing (on and off 🙄😒) for 3 years and I use to beat my self up about close friends or family not supporting me to the point that I stopped being consistent. I’m back (on) now and I plan to make it what it was destined to be. I love the beauty industry have my cosmetology license for 7 years now. This is definitely my passion!! Thanks for such amazing content!
Yes. That's exactly what I tell myself. I distance myself so much from so many people this year because I just don't have the time to be surrounded by people who aren't doing anything for themselves or let alone even care about what I'm doing. And I am exactly the same way I am so supportive or somebody else's achievements and success and even their dreams and goals and I'm there for them every step of the way but when it comes to me I don't get that same feedback nobody cares about what I'm doing if anything they tell me I need to stop working so hard.nobody tells anybody working a nine-to-five job to stop working so hard so it's like when somebody is passionate about something that they are doing they automatically tell them don't work so hard. I don't understand that and I find it a little stupid to tell someone that is chasing after their dreams and goals to stop working. So next year I am going to completely cut people out of my life like that because I'm going to work harder and if that pisses them off then they obviously don't deserve my service let alone my time.
@@YoyisLashBeauty it sounds like we are both going through filtering our lives and ridding of the ppl who don’t deserve our energies. Energy is a real thing and when ppl who don’t match ur energy comes around u become unrecognizable to urself especially when u kno urself. I’m right there with u about choosing ppl to be in ur life I refuse to surround myself around ppl who are stagnate and ok with the same routine and don’t want growth. And yes super supportive wants everyone to win and prosper but they don’t want to wish u well. And u r so right nobody tells someone with a 9-5 to stop working so hard. My theory of a 9-5 (although I have one until my clientele picks up) is not realistic. Y spend 20-30 years making someone else’s dream come true that don’t care about u, will fire u without 2 weeks notice or a good reason. I refuse to help someone’s dreams come true especially if it’s not my passion or for me. But I love what u do friend (cause u r my friend) and the lash community needed u. I believe that u r in ur purpose that god has set for ur life and by the comments u get of ppl saying u r keeping them confident means that u r needed. And for anyone who doesn’t support u let them sit in the back and watch u succeed!!
Oh my god dude I freaking love you! And great minds think alike and I need a friend like you on the daily LOL girl tell me about it me and my husband haven't had a regular job and since we got married in four and a half years because we have that same mindset that we are not going to bust her ass off to make somebody else's dream or be miserable in a job that we hate and just have this miserable pathetic little life and be complacent and comfortable with our meaningless life. I mean don't get me wrong some people do dream of that and I wish them nothing but the best if that's what they really want. But for me myself I do not like to having someone telling me what time to come in and what time to come home and not knowing if tomorrow I'm going to get fired because I call it in sick. and if you really think about it look how many people lost their secure job this year with everything going on in this world. and yes as your own business owner it is 10 times harder but it is 10 times more worth it. And I couldn't agree with you more on lowering yourself for people to make other people feel better about themselves not doing anything with their lives. I did that my whole entire life just so I wouldn't piss off any people but I'm tired of tiptoeing around people just so they could feel better about themselves. I want to feel good about myself and who I am as a person and where I'm going in life. And if that means being a little selfish with my time and my well-being and not surrounding myself with people who make me feel that way then so be it. I'll choose my happiness and my husband's happiness over anybody else's any day. and trust me girl I am a huge people pleaser and I love to see people around me happy and it makes me happy seeing other people happy but I let myself go for so many years putting other people above me before my own happiness and I went through a really bad depression because nobody was giving me that same kind of feedback nobody gives a fuck about me at the end of the day nobody is going to give a fuck about you. The only person that will truly care about you is yourself so my 2021 goal is to put my happiness and my husband's happiness above anybody else's doesn't matter if they get mad at me I don't care anymore. I love the person that I'm becoming and I am not a bad person and if people think I'm a bad person because I am not pleasing them then I don't care anymore. LOL I probably went down the road I shouldn't have hahaha but sometimes it's better to get it off our chest then have people wondering why they changed. I just started my course because of my depression. Same here I’m excited I thought I was not going to like it but I’m starting to do lashes to my friends and family and I really enjoy and has keep me so busy thinking and focusing on lashes and not feeling depressed. Yoyis new girl here, thank you so much for the content you put out keeping us beginners in mind. I have been watching your videos for some time, recently I quit my job a career that required me to travel out weekly and well with a 2-year-old at home the 8-year traveling journey needed to come to an end. So here I am, took a course but like you and many others I need additional support and training. I have been lash certified since Feb and still have not had a single client, but mostly because of the lack of confidence, and recently New to Vegas, but I am not giving up I will continue to practice and watch your videos on repeat until i feel a little more confident, so yeah any words of wisdom are truly appreciated. Praying this changes because the lack of incoming income, is starting to show. Thanks again Yoyis!!!!!

I love this video. Been lashing for 1 year and sets take me 3 hours average depending on home many lashes the client has. I’m still going even though sometimes I wanna throw my tweezers. You taught me a lot and yes Danielle’s videos are helpful too. Keep going girls we got this

I can soooo relate. I took a course about 3 weeks ago and I find myself learning more from your videos and many others than I did with my course. What a waste of money 👎🏽. But I so glad I came across your videos! They’re so helpful 😊
As long as they touch you the basics and proper isolation and the difference in the lashes and curls and proper sanitation then you are pretty much set. I've learned that all the small details you will have to learn through trial and error on your own. And in reality there's only so much that a course can teach you in a certain amount of days and doing lash extensions is a lot of stuff that we need to know and there's no way that anybody can fit that in a couple days training. So as long as we learn the basics then you are good to go. But I'm glad my videos have been helpful. 😘

Your making me emotional just reading your message. I understand it's hard and frustrating but when there's a will there's always a way. If I can go with no models and no clients for a whole year I'm sure you will figure it out too. Print out business cards and place them on people's cars. Go to the mall and pass out flyers. There's always ways to grow your clientele you just have to get out of your comfort zone and go find them. They aren't going to magically come knocking at your day. Rather it's you posting on social media that you needs models or you ask your close friends and family for referrals. Even if you have to use the same person over and over do it. Or keep working on your mannequin. But as long as you keep going i promise you you'll be glad you didn't give up. You got this Hun. I'm glad my videos and my membership has been helpful. ❤️

Ay qué malas. Pues lo que he aprendido así son todas nomás quieren su dinero y ya de ahí no te contestan nada qué triste. You don't need to be good to start you just need to start somewhere if you never start then you will never learn from your mistakes and get better and practicing on a mannequin is completely different from lashing on a real person so you need to get out there and actually practice on people. get your friends get your sisters get a family get whoever you can but practice on a real person because that's what's going to give you the experience and that's what's going to help you get better. I know you've got this I believe you take in more than enough training to at least know the basics and honestly you will have to learn a lot of things on your own so there is only so much that anyone can teach you you will have to go out and actually apply it and teach yourself how to do it the right way. so get in there girl don't be scared do what you got to do but I know you got this

I took a course for lash artistry, and I was taught not to lash the inner corners, because it can clog the tear ducts. That was highly expressed. Idk. I am currently learning, thank you so much for you’re beautiful videos, keeps me motivated.
Lash Artistry by Meraki Beauty bar? If that's them that's a little wierd that they would say that because I'm looking at their work and they clearly lash the inner corners. They only way it'll clog the tear ducts is if your placing the extension on the actual skin and that's a big no no. But no way placing an extension on the inner corner is it going to do that. Because a tear duct is located INSIDE the upper eyelids. You place an extension away from the eyelid skin so it has nothing to do with a tear duct. Idk I'm a little confused on why someone would say that. I've never heard of that before. In my professional opinion not lashing the inner corners leaves your set incomplete and it's so noticable if left unlashed. Everyone has their way if teaching and to each their own but I highly recommend to lash the inner corner. You don't have to go all the way to the first lash but at least get a few in there to complete the set. Trust me it'll make a huge difference in how it ends up looking.

You are the best girl. You will continue to grow in 2021. I love that you shared about the client who use to go to a salon and went to you and enjoyed your service more. It doesn’t matter if you work at a salon or home. What matters is the service and value you provide for them. So many like to put down girls who work from home. Can you Please do videos on like how started working from home, any tips, how did you market yourself being home based etc

Lash courses are such a scam!! I have learned so much more from youtube than my course that cost $1,800!! I appreciate your videos so much as a new lash artist.. i run to your videos or to my very own lash tech.. you guys are my heroes .. thank you so much for your videos!! Like really THANK YOU 😭🙏
I don't believe they are a scam. They are very helpful if you go to the right person. I never depend on RUclips to educate me. Yes it's helpful and that's what I'm here for but I wouldn't say courses are a scam. You probably feel that way because the person you went to wasn't a good trainer and I'm sorry you feel that way. But I'm glad I'm making your journey a little bit easier.

I didn't have bad experience with clients. I only had one lady who refused to wash her lashes and ended up getting an eye infection and had lash lice from improper care and I talk aLOT about her in my other videos. And I just recently had a girl who tried to scam me and I have a full video about that. But as far as dealing with bad clients I didn't have much of that that's why I didn't talk about it in this video.
This made me tear up. Because I'm 2 yrs in and now taking it seriously. Or trying to. Before my friends and fam would complain it takes so long. And it really discouraged me and made me lack doing it the past 2 years. Now I really dont care. I take a solid 2.5 hours now to do a classic set. 3 hrs if your naturally lashes are wild. And 3.5 to 4 hours to do hybrid.
Haven't tried full volume on anyone yet

Omg this is totally me 😣😣 I want to know what to say to a client when they start asking how much longer for me to finish their set. I get really nervous when they start getting frustrated.
Do you tell them how long you normally take when they book with you? That way they aren't anxious when it's taken a little while. That will be prepared coming in
I tell them up to 3 hrs, even if I get done before, also what I do is when it’s their 1st time with me I fully lash one eye let them sit up quickly and see it with a handheld mirror and continue to the next eye, after their reaction of omg 😱😍, they are so relaxed and don’t ask anything about time anymore 🤣😂

Hey babe. I'm so sorry to hear that your struggling that much. I understand that it can be real difficult at the beginning and we all go through the same struggles from holding the Tweezers right to making fans and isolating. But hang in there hun. It'll become habit the more you keep lashing. So my training dates won't be till August I'm having 1:1 and groups trainings so they'll be lots of opportunity to come learn from me. There is so many out there. But your course shouldve given you a kit. Did they not give you one? I have a video all about what you need as a beginner. But most items you'll need to buy separately.
