Wish you were near me so I could beg one of your frozen in time leaves .... Thank you so much for the blessing and may God bless you abundantly as well 🙏
I’m just now seeing this video and I absolutely love everything about it! So much information and beautiful plants! Now I’m on a mission to find those Chinette cups! 😊But the most beautiful thing about this video is the kind and sincere blessing at the end! Thank you and God bless you! ❤✝️🙏🪴🌱
Good afternoon Amy, thank you for sharing, and your African Violet collection is absolutely GORGEOUS, especially your "Frozen in Time" Violet!! I purchased two AV's back in 11/2019 and propagated two leaves!! The leaves ended up with 3 babies each, I repotted those same first two leaves and ended up with 5 more babies!! Couldn't stop and now I have 22 baby African Violets lol!! I learned my lesson in "be careful what you wish for" lol, but I absolutely love my babies!! They've bloomed once and thank you, I didn't know they bloom when they're rootbound, can't wait to try your fertilizers!! God bless you and your family Amy and have a blessed day and week!!❤️🥰🙏🏼
Hi Aida! It's so much fun to propagate these violets and next thing you know, you have a whole forest! But it's rewarding to watch them sprout and grow! Blessings to you my friend! 🌺😇🦋⚘🌻
Good evening Amy, it's been awhile but your African Violets are absolutely GORGEOUS especially, the Frozen in Time, I just love that name!!❤️🥰 I'm repotting my African Violets and was researching "African Violet repotting" and your video pops up and so happy to see you used Schultz for your African Violets because I just purchased it!! So happy to hear your beautiful voice and will definitely catch up with your videos, been a long semester lol!! May you and your family have a very blessed, safe and Happy New Year Amy, God bless you all!!❤🥰🙏🙏
Hi Aida! So good to hear from you! I'm so glad the video was helpful...and thanks so much for your sweet comment! 😇💜 I hope you have a happy healthy and blessed New Year! Amy 😇💜🙏🌺
Oh African violets were my mum’s favourite plant, the other being Maidenhead fern. Your collection has bought back wonderful memories of my mum. Thank you for sharing. ❤️❤️
💚💜 You have quite a collection! 💜💚 I love the Chinette cup idea. They're not only pretty but also the roots are visible as they mature. I really like that! Blessings my dear friend 😇
When you use Jack’s on these,do you use amounts that bag suggest,or formula you use on orchids. I read if Jacks used with soil following directions on package is OK.
Hi! I used my Jacks recipe for my orchids...weakly weekly. Since they are blooming and budding, I'm using the Schultz AV fertilizer. Either one works! Blessings!
Absolutely Gorgeous!!! You're incredible! I can't get over the AV leaf that I sent to you has already produced a baby with Blooms!!! Good job. 🥰 I love your "pots", so clever. 😊 You definitely have a beautiful African Violet forest. Happy growing my friend. 🙋♀️💐
Hi Tammy! I knew you'd get a kick out of this tiny plant blooming already! It surprised me! And the peach one you sent me will bloom soon! Blessings my friend! Amy😇
@@joanier8876 Usually from Lowes garden center. People have given me propagations and leaves to propagate. Those take much longer to bloom. Like two years or more.
🤗Hi Amy, love your African Violets collection, they are Very beautiful🥰. My favourite are the old fashioned plain green fuzzy leaves with the deep purple flowers with the bright yellow centres. Just reminds me of my younger days😁. Sending you lots of love and blessings to and family from this side of the pond.💕🌸
Hi Sue! I love the purple violet as well...it reminds me of my Grandma's violets! Much love and many blessings to you across the pond! 😇⚘😊🌻 Btw, I've planted lots of sunflowers the way you recommended...hope I have a yard full! Lol! 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
@@OrchidWhispererHow many have you started off?!😁. I am sure you will have wonderful gigantic sunflowers filling the whole yard this year. Make sure there is good air flow, so that your seedlings don’t get any mould attack. 🌸

I am 34 and just got my first African Violet. I had alway thought they were above my skill level but after years of the houseplant hobby I decided it was time and got myself one this year. Im also propagating some leaves (who doesn't like to share baby plants). I am really enjoying it so far. 😊 I may need a little collection of African Violet colors
@@OrchidWhisperer I will be looking at them, I will be getting more; I need to be honest with myself 😂 the one I have now is a from Lowe's by Optimara. It's a cutie, purple/violet flowers. @@OrchidWhisperer I couldn't agree more. One of my absolute favorites I have had a while and now is a monster is the typical green heart leaf philodendron. It just brings me enjoyment watching her grow. Btw love your channel. Been watching a while now on your orchids. Unfortunately I haven't had an orchid, yet. Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to try one 🫣
OH my you have that lacy pink and then purple /white I had 2 each and I had them outside in the spring and someone lifted them broke my heart. your plants are beautiful keep them away from sticky fingers.
All so beautiful, Amy! Frozen in Time is the perfect name. All of my violets are in bud, and I believe this will be the best bloom cycle ever! I wick water mine, and they are in an eastern exposure. I have had to stop propagating, as I’m becoming overwhelmed with plants at the moment! Love and blessings, Mary Ann
Thanks Mary Ann! Frozen in Time is an awesome plant! CONGRATULATIONS on those budding violets...that's an exciting time! I hear you about keeping your plant collection at a reasonable size, and it's hard to do, too! Lol! I gift some of mine often or I'd live in a bonafide jungle! 🤣🌺😇🦋
Hi Tamera! I use a soldering iron. Just a heads up, be sure to do this outside or in a very well ventilated area. Melting plastic smells terrible, and it's noxious to inhale. Have a great day! Amy
I love African Violet but I keep getting these white bugs in between the stems and leaves. I water from the bottom as well so I’m not sure what’s causing the bugs.
Thank you for this fantastic video on African Violets. I love listening to your sweet voice. Where do you buy your African violets. I often pick them up at the grocery store but they don’t seem anywhere near as healthy as yours. Thank you so so much. 🥰
I buy them on ebay. You don't pay till you are done buying even if it's a couple of weeks or more. Then you only pay $7 shipping for the whole lot. That way you find all the exotic colors. There is not an African Violet to be found here on the Big island....and they love it here!☹
You are in Hawaii- Big Island?? I thought you said on your video you are in East Tennessee. Yes I would like to know the seller you prefer on eBay as well.

Help. My dog groomer used to take my 20 African Violets while we traveled in our rv. Now she can’t take them. My pots are self watering type. Hi Judy! I don't use self watering pots...so I don't know if that will work. You can convert your AVS to the wicking method like what I demonstrated in my latest AV video a few weeks ago. Just use a large reservoir. Thanks for watching my friend and happy growing! :) Amy
