itzy music is like red velvet, they both have experimental music but u can still tell they both has their “sound” in it. for example red velvet has the werid(?) classy vibe and itzy has that swag and cool vibe
for short, "NOT GENERIC". RV and itzy have unique songs, and it easy to identify if they sang a song because there is a sprinkle of an originality added to each song. that's why i think ppl are weirded out by the songs of RV and ITZY, they don't use GENERIC EDM DROPS in choruses, and other repetitive song patterns.
@@user-rr9kw7jj3v I like both Itzy and Everglow, but Itzy's songs are pretty good: they take a bit of time to warm up to, but after that I find myself playing them more than Everglow's songs. Itzy's songs aren't copies and stuff, but you can still hear the 'itzy' sound/vibe/style in the song, whereas if you gave one of Everglow's songs to another group, I'm pretty sure that other group will still be able to pull it off really well, and you couldn't really tell that it was originally made for Everglow. Don't get me wrong: both groups are amazing monster rookies ( BBC is such a bop, Dalla dalla was made for me ears)

People say Everglow are boring, but their bsides are actually really good
True, but you have to make people intrested with the main track. Adios and Dun Dun are very similar and kinda generic, as said in the video, they could have been done by any other group with a girl crush concept. BB Chocolat was quite unique and everyone liked it or at least recognize it value. The company should pay more attention, because the girls are getting critized a lot, first for the really similar songs (Adios and Dun Dun) and for the whole Mia mess, they are a new group but already starting to get hate

I personally prefer Itzy, I feel like they’ve consistently proven to be interesting and experimental and enjoyable while there’s a lot of things in EVERGLOW’s music that consistently disappoint me. BUT I see a ton of potential in EVERGLOW and I could see them improving a ton. Itzy just doesn’t even feel like a rookie group, they’re so polished and their group identity is so strong

no they don’t lack versatility. it’s just their concept for now. just like how twice did the same type of songs back to back during their first 3 years. everglow also has the same type of music for their 3 title tracks, a chorus with hard hitting edm. but everglow is still good. so i don’t get ur point. itzy’s concept may not be original but it’s fresh and it’s uniquely done so i think tats what jyp was going for. it’s only been first year we shld just wait longer.

Experimental doesn't mean it's enjoyable you run the risk of sounding unappealing and weird. Itzy does sometimes sound cheesy and weird that's the only issue I have but being JYP helps a lot anyway in their fame... everglow is truly underrated nothing wrong with their concept it's pretty good all around they have powerful songs and lighter ones to compliment the title tracks, all their songs are no nonesense and to the point, no weirdness or unnecessary experimenting .

I personnaly feel like Dun Dun was a Adios 2.0, which makes sense because the company probably wanted to replicate the success of Adios (and it worked, Dun Dun has almost 95M in less than two months)
But for instance, that whole purple aesthetic in the Reminiscence album was in some scenes of "Adios" too...
I hope they comeback with something less repetitive so people don't get bored of their songs

ITZY brings something new to the table unlike Everglow who just follows the same girl crush, edm trend. name an ITZY song out of their discography that sounds like every other song that has been released within the past two years. you can't. on the other hand both Adios and Dun Dun sound like watered down remixes of Kill This Love, and we all know Kill This Love is an obvious remake of D4. I mean if I want to listen to D4 I would; it's just pretty much repetitive to hear the same thing over and over again when I could've just listened to the original.

The best thing about Everglow is how versatile they are. Their discography offers much more diversity. They can go extremely hard with Adios to dreamy R&B-ish ambiance in Hush/Moon to modern dance pop in Bon Bon Chocolat to bright & bubbly charm in You Don’t Know Me.
Not that Itzy don’t have the same attitude when it comes to versatility but I just find it cool when a group have the courage to explore different flavors and contrasting genres within titles and b-sides.
Afterall I really enjoy the ‘rivalry’ between this two monster rookies, surely both group gonna shape the future of Kpop 🔥

I prefer Everglow music. It just took me a long ass time to like itzy songs and until know i'm still working over wannabe. It's just itzy songs are more like chanting sometimes annoying for me, i only like icy because it fits with the vibe so well. With everglow it's not necessarily all badass, for me, everglow have more diversity in their dischograpy and they all played it well. I would also want everglow's next cb title is something like moon, moon is my fave from them.

I prefer Everglow over Itzy, their debut song looked like a comeback from a girl group that's been in the industry for years, their mvs are really entertaining and I love how the most underrated member doesn't get overshadowed, better vocalists and rappers meanwhile itzy has better dancers. Itzy and Everglow are both great❤

aurielle ADIOS AGED LIKE FINE WINE! I must confess, i stopped listening to it because i got bored. But when I listened to it again, it was as if I was experiencing the song like I did the first time it got out! The whistles, the horns or trumpets just sound so triumphant! And who can forget the forever iconic “NANANNANANANANANANNA”. I don’t want to compare but ADIOS was what Kill This Love wanted to be but can only dream.

Personally I prefer Itzy’s title track more than their bsides. I feel like their bsides are sometimes too extra or lack too much but some of my favourite songs from them Want it and IT’z my summer are amazing! As for Everglow I like their bsides way better than their titles. Their title tracks sound kind of repetitive to me and they kind of sound the same but their bsides are bops. Both groups have great stage presence and amazing choreo. Itzy’s choreography is more complex and harder than Everglow’s but simpler choreography can also be better than harder choreography. In conclusion, they’re both amazing rookie groups and have great potential. They’ll dominate the 4th gen of Kpop for sure
As a MIDZY I can confidently describe ITZY’s music to be “experimental” they play with many sounds and make awesome music that makes you question “wait- d-did i hear that right?” Bu also “whatever, this is a BOP”.
As a FOREVER, I can confidently describe EVERGLOW’s discography as “versatile”, sure their title tracks may seem repetitive at points but it might actually be an outcome of their story-telling, I read a theory somewhere on how all of EVERGLOW’s title tracks are connected along woth the b-sides. In the end of Adios, the girls were seen sleeping on ice, in DUN DUN, the whole concept was Antartica. In No Lie there was a line that brings up Antartica; “Truth is we were in the Antartica”

Being unique doesn't necessarily mean better tho. But I get you, I also really like Itzy's title tracks but most of their b-sides are just not my cup of tea and the message of every song is almost the same. But I fell in love with Itzy because of their Choreo while I fell in love with Everglow because of the songs. But both group are amazing in their own way ❤️.

HUSH is such a great b-side track.
It's the GOAT. Impeccable. Masterpiece.
Overall, my preference sits with Everglow's discography while I'm more fond of ITZY's title tracks. Honestly, both groups have such versatile discographies for rookies and each of there b-sides hold something unique.
AGH forget it I can't choose. My favourite b-side from ITZY is Cherry (masterpiece) and from Everglow it's No lie/Hush (more masterpieces). I liked reminiscence more than IT'Z ME but again, it's all personal preference. Both were really good. I find myself listening to ITZY's title tracks more and more of Everglow's b-sides.
Shefali Talwar I enjoy everglow’s title tracks and I’m alright with their bsides, overall a supporter. But personally, I don’t think that their discography is versatile nor unique. It’s a typical sound and same structure to many girl crush songs, with edm sounds, no proper chorus (drops, instrumental and the title being repeated). There’s nothing EXTREMELY special about their bsides because none stand out to me, but I like moon, a lot of people said that. I am aware that the girls don’t have a choice, but I hope the company will let them explore more concepts and sounds in the future.

I knew immediately i could trust your opinion when you played Feedback for the intro :) such an underrated but such a beautiful one :))
I didnt expect for EVERGLOW to get number 1 in the very last segment. I am their #1 fan but because of all the other rankings I was kinda saddened and thought they wouldn't get their chance. But here are my EVERGLOW rankings for all of these:
•MVs:
4. DUN DUN - the reason why is because I feel like the video just lacked a story or a theme. There was nothing that really stood out except Aisha's beautiful blue eyes.
3. Bon Bon Chocolat - This MV was their start in the KPop industry so of course it wont be as good but I feel like there could've been more they could've done with the MV.
2. Adios - I really liked the color scheme for this video. And I felt like the outfits really played a part in how beautiful this MV looked.
1. LA DI DA - this music video felt like they were super villains who were absolutely beautiful and killed everyone with their gorgeous visuals. The color scheme for this music video was amazing and the disco dance break killed me. Everything about this era was amazing honestly, but the MV is just *chef's kiss*
•Styling (title tracks and b-sides that were performed on Music Shows):
10. NO LIE - They only performed this once and, although the lace made me fall for these outfits, they were still very lacking of substance.
9. Moon - The outfits for Moon were pretty boring. They borrowed some outfits from the MV of Bon Bon Chocolat that they didn't use for the Bon Bon Chocolat performances and they called it a day. They could've done so much for this song.
8. PLAYER - While I have to admit, I genuinely enjoyed the color scheme for the one performance they did of this song, it fell flat in comparison to the rest of the outfits they have worn in promotion.
7. DUN DUN - the outfits in this promotion didn't stand out. They were really bland and, in some cases, some members' outfits weren't cohesive to the rest of the group.
6. UNTOUCHABLE - They could've done so much for the promotion of this song but they chose denim on denim. They could've given the girls beautiful outfits but they just made corsets out of denim and called it a day.
5. Bon Bon Chocolat - the outfits for this era were chaotic chic but they lacked on the chic side and emphasized more on the chaotic side which wasn't it sis. Even some b-sides had better outfits than this.
4. You Don't Know Me - the outfits for this song were absolutely beautiful. They were chaotic chic and balanced each other well. And E:U wearing that hentai shirt is just the best thing that has happened to the human race.
3. SALUTE - the outfits for this song were just so good. They ended up being the outfits the girls wore on their US tour. I really loved how every member shined in their own way with these outfits.
2. Adios - these outfits were just so iconic. They looked like powerful women. Even though the outfits were repetitive, they all looked good. And my fav stage from these would definitely have to be the one where everyone but Onda wore black and she wore the white outfit with poofy sleeves so she could stand out even more.
1. LA DI DA - the black leather outfits, the red outfits, the disco outfits, the chaotic chic outfits, the halloween special stage outfits, all of the outfits used during this promotion were absolutely the best thing that has happened to KPop styling since Seulgi's red pants.
B-Sides:
10. SALUTE - I personally didn't like the song that much but I give it a monthly listen because it's fun to listen to sometimes.
9. NO LIE - I am not gonna lie, I love this song to death but I also hate it so much I wanna burn it. I love everything about the song except for the line distribution. Because Yiren and Onda both got 3.6 seconds of lines in this entire song and I'm mad about it.
8. Moon - I like moon a lot. It's a fun song to listen to every now and then but it's not my favorite favorite.
7. PLAYER - I know the entire choreography to this song and the vibes are great tbh.
6. GxxD BOY - I have to admit that, at first, I hated this song. But as I listened to it more and more, I fell in love with it.
5. UNTOUCHABLE - I listen to this EVERY DAY because this song is a true bop. I kid you not, it has gotten me up more times than I can count.
4. NO GOOD REASON - This song has got to be my favorite song off of their new mini album. The beauty of Mia, Aisha, Sihyeon, Yiren, and Onda's voices is just something that CANNOT be ignored.
3. D+1 - this song has gotten me to cry more times than any KPop song has. It's genuinely a beautiful song about loving a person, whether that be your lover, bestfriend, or family member, and how when you have times where you fight, you can always reminisce about the first day you met and how that was your luckiest day.
2. You Don't Know Me - I cannot tell you how many times a day I listen to this song. I learned the choreography to it too. It's just so fun. And Yiren's "Why can't you see?" has legit made me cry on timeless occasions because of how cute she sounds.
1. Hush - the beauty of this song...it got me through some very dark and scary times. This song is just so beautiful. I highly encourage people to listen to it. It is criminally underrated.
BONUS. Let Me Dance - this song doesn't technically count as a EVERGLOW b-side or an EVERGLOW song at all since only E:U, Sihyeon, Mia, and Aisha are a part of this song but I just have to say that this song is iconic asf.

4. Adios - I love this song but if I had to choose out of all the title tracks, this is the one I listen to the least.
3. Bon Bon Chocolat - this song was just the best debut song for a fourth generation group ever. Nothing and no one can change my mind.
2. DUN DUN - I don't care what anyone says, this song has to be song of the year because god, this song was so iconic. It made me an EVERGLOW fan. And honestly, idc if I get cancelled, Mia deserved that dance break and she is the only one who could pull it off.
1. LA DI DA - everything about this song is just the best. Onda shined so much and I just love their high pitched vocals. they killed this song.
Choreo (for b-sides and title tracks that have choreo):
10. NO LIE - the dance for this song was not challenging at all. And, to be quite honest, it was pretty underwhelming.
9. SALUTE - this choreography was so disappointing. I was expecting something more hard hitting but it was just bland.
8. Bon Bon Chocolat - this choreography was simple but iconic. Though when compared to other dance, it falls flat.
7. PLAYER - the choreography for this song is a bit harder to learn but it is so impactful. It isn't super hard but the drop and everything about this choreography is criminally underrated.
6. You Don't Know Me - this choreoraphy is very easy to learn but it is so impactful too and really fun to dance. I never get tired of this choreography.
5. UNTOUCHABLE - for the majority of this song, it is very easy going and easy to perform but the floor choreography is why it ranks so high. it was just so fun to learn and kinda hard to do not gonna lie.
4. Adios - when a group of people do this dance correctly, it just looks so polished and perfect and it is so fun to do as well. I guarantee you will have fun dancing this song.
3. DUN DUN - Are you kidding me? This choreo was so fun to do. I still like to dance it. It's so cool and the imagery is splendid. And the dance break was the hardest to to learn tbh.
2. LA DI DA - this dance was hard asf to learn but it was so much fun to do. I cannot deny how great this dance is.
1. Moon - this choreography is by far the hardest choreo in fourth generation KPop. I mean it is really dangerous to do with the chair and stuff but even harder to learn.

I actually really like I DON’T WANNA DANCE and YOU MAKE ME. I would put those higher and WANT IT? and Moon lower. But that’s just me. Great video by the way.
Everglow wins for me because I love their hard hitting music (some of the hardest I heard lol) but their b-sides also have this ethereal vibe that I love. Especially Moon. That is my second favorite track from them (Adios is first. It really blew me away when I first heard it). But I get the repetitive argument that a lot of people give. Dun Dun just felt like and Adios 2.0 because of its structure and while I love Adios, I was a bit disappointed they didn’t change it up. I think the track that feels the most Everglow to me is Bon Bon Chocolat. It’s still girl crush and has badass trap elements but the auto tune and the effects in the song make it sound so heavenly and glittery it’s hard to explain but that combination is perfect. I hope they give us something like that again. Adios and Dun Dun are great but Bon Bon Chocolat really makes them unique and gives them their own space
