OK So this video is all about Severus's enduring love for Lily and how he is reminded of her every time he looks at Harry.
Even after her death he remains devoted, putting aside his overwhelming resentment toward her son and making the promise of a life time to protect him.. for the woman he loves... Always

This is still amazing after a year. I love this. I love how you show him saving Harry various times while she is being attacked. As if he believes by protecting him it'll make up for not being able to save her. If only Snape had been Harry's father. Now there's an Au video you never see that would be awesome...hmmm.

The story of Severus and Lily is by far one of the very best parts about Harry Potter. It makes Snape such an iconic character, and brings an incredible amount of humanness to an otherwise disturbed wizard. Fantastic video!

i'm still WAY in love with the choice of the 2 sky high characters as the young snape an lily and the ending of this is SO precious poor baby harry o my gosh i simply adore it. ur always so good with the endings i've noticed that a lot.
Severus Snape was a wonderful and brave man. Quoting Harry, " the bravest man I ever knew." He led a hard life. He never gave in though. He despised Harry for James. He probably never 'hated' him completely. He protected her for Lily but had to keep seeing her eyes. He stood tall. He saved Harry's life several time. He tried teaching him Occlumency. He.......He was just a extraordinarily brave man. :*)
Brilliantly done!! I was so sad when Snape forced Dumbledore to promise never to tell anyone, not even Harry - those who've read DH now what I mean. He hid the best in him, and did it all for her.

Poor Snape. I felt so much pity for his losses when I read this chapter but you made his grief much closer to my heart. This was great, you were spot on.

Years ago, I used to hate Snape due to his attitude towards Harry since the beginning. But I never thought that his true motivation of protecting Harry was due to his eternal love for Lily. My attitude towards Snape changed after this revelation and I felt so sorry for the hard choices that he made even after Lily died. Truly sad.

Even though he isn't a real person,there's something in his whole story that captured my heart.Maybe because he's more human than any other Hp caracter,on the outside full of flaws,but inside has a huge heart and capable to love unconditionally.True heroes are always the last ones to know about.'But life isn't fair',that's what Severus said to Harry,and I totally agree with him.But still believe that everything pays off to good people :D
AWESOME. The moment when Lily shelters little Harry from Voldemort and in the same time Snape does the same protecting Harry from werewolf... It made me cry because it appeared that Snape hated Harry because he was James' son and he loved him because he was Lily's son. And I believe he was ready to sacrifice his life for Harry because it was partly his (Snape's) fault that Lily died.
I just realised this: 1:23-1:25 is particularly amazing because Rickman's lip-movement makes it look like he's saying " I love you". Woah, pretty cool. :) This is one of my favourite videos of all time.

This video was phenomenal! It actually humanizes Snape. You captured his feelings by the clips you used. Thereby "almost" making one feel sorry for him. I can empathize with him, but I can never forgive how he treated Harry throughout his lifetime. The song by the way was brillant.

A lot of vids show off Severus' sexiness and are all about how hot he is. This is one of the few vids that show how beautiful he is on the inside, as well. This actually brought tears to my eyes.

Even though Snape seemed like the "bad guy" in most most of the book, I always had this feeling that I was wrong about him and that there is something good in him. Well to this day, I am glad I was wrong. I feel so bad for the pain that Severus had to go through. For that and many other reasons, the Half-Blood Prince, Severus Snape, shall forever be my favorite character of all.
after all this time i still can't get over how beautifully edited this video is. i've said this before but major kudos for using Warren/Layla for young Severus/Lily. they're so perfect. how sad that both couples did not end up with each other though.

OMG! I loooove it! I must say this like every time I see a Lily/Snape video...but I think this one is definitely my favorite. The effects were amazing...and the whole video as so sweet.
I never read a book before with such a deep character. Snape isn't the good man. He is not a super hero. he's just soo human. of course he was brave, but I think he never really felt remorse for what he did as a death eater, he just turned his back to voldemort cause of Lilly.

I love this video. It is absolutely amazing. Every single time I watch it, I almost want to cry. It is very touching. I especially love the end, when you overlapped Lily's murder and several of the times that Snape has physically helped Harry...its so sad. Love it though

Severus Snape is my favorite character, and I hate what they did in the movie, with his worst memory! Because they made it as if it wasn't Harry's fault if he saw this, he was just protecting himself! But in fact, he looked in the Pensive!

True love saved Snape - even though he was a broken, shell of a man after Lily died: full of self loathing for losing her. People who hate tehmselves aren't always the most pleasant company. However, he didn't have to spend the rest of his life & eventually lose it, trying to protect Harry for Lily. He could've become even angrier and stayed with Voldie to detroy the boy who was proof that Lily chose his worst enemy instead of him. That's no silly crush; that's love in it's truest form.

Must be awesome that this thing's still generating so much praise considering you did it right after DH came out. But that's definately for a reason! This was so wonderfully done, and you connect the moments in the movies with the song so well. The ending I think is my favorite, showing those times he protected Harry, it gave me the same feeling when I read that chapter of the book. You did a very great job.

I loved the part toward the end where Snape is protecting Harry from the werewolf (yes, I know it's Lupin =P) and thinking about Lily. That part really got to me.

Oh god. After all this time, I still love this video soooo much. I can't even tell you. Especially the part at 4:03 Nobody seems to have noticed Snape's dedication to save the trio, when the 3rd movie came out (even though it was one of the most famous Harry Potter-pictures to that time) and you finally pointed the similarity between him and Lily out.

The middle part got a little tedious to me but the finale overlaying lily's death and snape protecting Harry made me want to cry :'( brilliant.
You know, I used to really hate Snape because he hated Harry and he was mean, ect. ect. but after finishing the series watching a whole bunch of Severus/Lily videos, I realize how much pain Snape went through. He struggled with Lily's death and he wanted to protect Harry because of her but he hated Harry because of James. He had a hard life! He is now one of my favs because J.K. Rowling created an amazing history for all her characters. :)

This was I think the best I've seen as a Prince's-Tal-inspired vid. It's also one of my favourites among your works! The pensieve scene was so touching and poignant.... this whole bloody chapter was touching to begin with but you did a brilliant job of depicting it as a vid!!! Kudos!!

This is one vid i'll always go back to... I couldn't believe the emotional turmoil that Snape went through to protect Harry... a son of his enemy... and the love of his life.
even when i was start reading Harry Potter at the first episode, i never hated Severus Snape even once. i had the feeling he is a good man, maybe he is a style of guy i keep my eyes on_cold, mysterious...Even when the episode "The Half Blood Prince", he killed Dumberdore, i still told my friend "i believe in Snape"....So happy that in the end i didn't mistake when i believe in him.
This makes me so excited for the secound part of the movie! That was my favorite chapter I loved it! If they screw it up in any way in the movie I will be crushed

Wow, this is.. incredible! Your editing is flawless and the song is perfect! Severus and Lily have to be my favorite ship outside of the HP-verse so imagine my excitement in finding fanvids of them! I think it's such a shame she chose James over him. I don't think anyone loved Lily as much as Severus. But then of course if Lily and James hadn't gotten together, Harry Potter would cease to exist and with it the entire franchise. Still I wish Severus could have at least told her how he felt.
@chaukhung I'm glad I'm not the only one. Even after Dumbledore I still maintained that Snape was good. He's been my favorite character since almost the beginning of the series. I think, because he was the one who I least understood. And then at the end of the series everything made sense.

Good video. It made me sad and wish a bit that Severus had got Lily. The little of James' character we know makes Severus a better guy for her.
