Wow! Haven’t seen any Mick Miller standup in years. I had a flashback to The Comedians, a TV show featuring all the main comics of the time. Back in the 70s I believe.
Mick Miller as Moz's (Johnny Vegas) dodgy dad in Ideal is perfect, especially teamed up with Jo Enright (Carol) - his blind girlfriend he's convinced that he's 30 years old. Ideal is awesome.
To picture this, Noddy is a character who lived in Toy Town and had friends such as Big Ears and Mr Plod (policeman). He used to drive a Noddy Car and we called our small police motorcycles Noddy Bikes.
I love this routine, it's absolutely hilarious, I always enjoyed watching Mick Miller, this is just so funny! Love the references to Scotland!! Thanks so much for your reaction folks, you obviously enjoyed this as much as I did, all the best. 😂😂
Noddy was the taxi driver in Toytown, which is how he knew everybody and had his adventures, because he could go everywhere and most of the other inhabitants could not drive.
I know you like the old British comedians (Jethro) and Mick Miller is another fine entertainer. You should try Mick Miller - In The Club. Brilliant but a little long.
You should try to get the "Shoe Box sketch". Starring the late Roy Castle. It's hilarious! Or the last Supper sketch, starring Ade Edmunds and John Cleese. You won't regret it!
I remember this radio show, from the first time my family was stationed in the UK. It was intended for small children, and I was really too old for it. But, my brothers and sister weren't; so... I would have enjoyed it a LOT more, if it had been more like this hilarious sketch...
