  • Click on this video to check the latest update about my build. It's been almost a month since I've worked on my build because we have been super busy with car shows and waiting for parts to show up. I started the day by sanding the metal down with sandpaper until we got a matte look on the epoxy primer, which is going to help the Raptor bed liner stick to the metal for a long-lasting paint job. Then, I spent some time taping up all the areas we don't want the bed liner to hit, which took longer than expected. It was time to set up our inflatable paint booth. I knew that the fenders would fit in there no problem, but I was really wondering if the body of the bug would fit. If you watch the video until the end, then you will notice whether or not the body fits. If you guys want to buy the same paint booth, I will guide you to buy the correct size. Laying down the paint is always easy and fast, but what takes a long time is prepping the metal for paint. We laid down two coats and waited 60 minutes in between coats. The final product was amazing, and I was really happy with the final result. We are ready to move to our next step, which is cutting the roof for our ragtop conversion. I'm super excited for that. Thank you guys so much for watching. Drop your comment down below if you think the Raptor bed liner is not necessary or if you have any questions about the process. Subscribe to the channel to not miss our next video, which will be cutting the roof off my 1969 VW Beetle.

Hell yeah dubbs. Looking good. Nice job. I bet your neighbors are tripping with the inflatable booth😂 eh how much was it?! Might be hard to paint the nose and tail cuz you won’t have room to stand. It should be good for paint parts though. I will check out the website G

I live in the hood, so my neighbors don't really bother me about it. Everyone minds their own business. The paint booth was around $500. It shouldn't be too hard to paint the nose and tail, as I have enough room to lay down paint. Plus, it's way better than painting in my garage, to be
