Thanks Nathan. This is GOLD. As a newbie it amazes me how generous people in the industry are, with information sharing etc. Two questions - do you work in conjunction with a web design company? I ask because, if you do an audit for a business, like you did for this page 4 company and obviously make the results known to the business owner/s, they may well feel the urge to bullet their web design agency because of the site performing so badly. So you'd have to take over the running of the site? Also, do you not rain on agency's parade, pointing out their lack of input to the client, who you did the audit for?

Hi Nathan, I know this one something that cannot be changed/optimized per se, but how does age of the website affect the search rankings? Must a website have decent age (1-year +) in order for it to have an opportunity to rank well if all other aspects are covered and optimized well? What are your general thoughts there? Thanks!
Good question Daniel and thanks for the comment. Website age on its own likely isn't much of a ranking factor. But website age increases the likelihood that you'll have acquired some backlinks, which will effect rankings. For example, an old website with no backlinks won't perform well.

I'm not a programmer and wish I could improve the speed of my wordpress site without having to ask a programmer. I installed WP Rocket and optimized the essentials but my site continues to have a very low page speed score.
