- An extended compilation of footage from Operation Red Flag 17-1 at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, NV. Red Flag 17-1 was held in January and February of 2017, and featured aircraft from the United States as well as allied aircraft from the Royal Air Force and Royal Australian Air Force. It marked the fullest integration of fifth generation stealth aircraft to date.

The afterburner plume on the F 35 is INSANE!
Im from UK,but the sights and sounds of this heavy metal hardware gives me goosebumps...good to see the RAF represented as ever and doing well,we have a good reutation at Red Flag,look forwards to seeing the F35 from our new carriers....cant wait...Bet our fly boys cant wait to get them either supersonic navy again....about bloody time too.
If there's one thing the UK needs, it's a supersonic carrier-based aircraft. You had us beat with your FGR.2s and FG.1s (they technically had a higher top speed than the US's Naval Phantoms), and even Harriers!

Javier Mac not really it just wasn’t executed completely from jump so it’s slowly getting the software it needs to be what we know it can be. Also I’m sure that plane can a lot more than what us a civilians will ever know

Gar dude, I know what fly by wire is, I know the difference between a f22 and a f35. With that being said, in the video at 3 minutes and 10 seconds the F22 RAPTOR, touches down and the left main wheel starts to shake violently. come on man, get with the program!

Looks quite serious but it might still be withing design specifications.
If you want to see serious undercarriage problems, take a look at the pioneering TSR2 development program. The British had some big problems with the main gear before they engineered the problem.

Is it just me or is there something different with the suspension stiffness on the F35 main gear. On takeoff the F35 seems to be rocking left to right quiet strong, may be it's just the geometry of the widely spaced main gear.
Anyone know how well the F22 preformed?

Feels good... All the "Oh keep the F15, F16, F18 and just upgrade them!" legacy fighter fanboys and the Russian trolls saying the F35 is a piece of shit.
Then at Red Flag, the F35 gets a 20:1 KDR. NEVER aborted a takeoff due to maintenance. And did most of the work when grouped with other fighters. And what do we hear afterward from the naysayers? Radio silence.
Its an expensive piece of shit. Funny these F-35 fanboys never mention the cost.
It's cheaper than the Eurofighter straight up, and at 21/1 a hell of a lot cheaper than F-16, F-15 and anything else:) Meaning you'd have to have 21 F-18 to beat one F-35. Troll all you like, but you are delusional:)
Lets hope the F35 lives up to it's full potential. Israeli Air Force
have committed to the project so lets hope the airframe can deliver for
us (a very big investment for a small country). As for maintenance
problems & reliability, there are two factors at ply: 1) good design
& 2) quality of maintenance workmanship. Only time will tell.

I'm not getting something. Those pilots introduce F-22 and F-35 like they never saw or heard of F-117 or B-2 planes before. They are also stealth and hard to find by SAM's but they still are shot down in real world. I bet that same results ware obtained by F-117 in their "Red flags" games. They are reselling same story over and over...
aleksa99se The F117 was not a fighter, despite its intentionally misleading designation.
And the F-117 that was shot down was following the same path it did for weeks during its tour in Bosnia. The folks down below knew where the F-117 is gonna be, and once it opened its bomb bay doors, it increased the radar cross section, allowing the SAM to shoot it down. Plus, F-117 does not have a warning system for Missiles.
aleksa99se Stealth has come a long way from F117 days. B2 has never ever been shot down. There is no wreckage. F-22 is the greatest air superiority fighter ever. F-35 is a multirole platform.

Well we've already paid for theese Lightning F352 We might as well get used to em and work the kinks out plus radar invisibility and 100 mile heads up on aircraft the ability to put more on an carrier due to vertical lift in a third of all made is a plus .Still I wanna see more Drone aircraft of higher longer flight bigger payload capability
Jack Frost why? We lost a stealth drone to Iran because we put to much trust in autonomous vehicles. I'm sure other enemy countries are itching to hack more of our drones to capture. Doesn't happen like that with manned aircraft.

WHY, would NOT the American Aouthorities, AND You Tube (for that matter) , Accept that the Gripen as a Jet-Fighter is one of the most capable Jet-Fighters in the World today with Gripen E, especially !? Even the Gripen C/D, at Red Flag, had a score like this " 5 -0, 5 -0 and 5 - 1" !!! WHY, isn´t that "Red-Flag-score" Officiial on You Tube "?!?
