Robot vacuums are wonderful. My husband got me one for Christmas last year. I have it scheduled to run every single day.
When my kids were the ages of yours, I always had a book or two in the diaper bag. I also keep coloring pencils and a little notebook or coloring book.
I remember when I was very young my mom made (sewing) some busy books. One page had things you could velcro, another had pieces that snapped, another had zippers...
She always had those with her to keep us (kids) busy. In fact, I have the books she made. My kids used them when they were very young. Not helpful for you but I was reminded of the busy books.
