    I am from Michigan and have retired to southern Florida with my husband. I learned to crochet from "you tube" during covid. I have crocheted blankets, throws, hats, scarves, etc. Each year when we go to visit family in Michigan I take all my makes and let others take their pick. I will never use any of these things here! So, I can relate to you not wanting a wool sweater, very beautiful work though. Hugs

Hope everybody gets to feeling better. I'm jot a fan of sourdough bread, it's a bit on the dry side for my taste but I know it's the in thing right now. I would rather make a fast dough and eat it while it is still warm enough to melt butter. Yum

    I just recently found you, or your podcast found me, so I'm catching up. I love this daisy sweater. I don't care for any yarn heavier than a dk so i will be modifying the pattern. I also do not care for block style but with a better drape it should be fine. I love it.

    • @TheCozyCottageCrochet
      @TheCozyCottageCrochet  14 дней назад

      I think in a DK weight yarn (or even a fingering) the daisy cardigan would have amazing drape and be fabulous. You'll have to make lots more squares of course, but making the squares was the best part of the whole thing!

    I agree the sweater is not appropriate for your climate. I suspect if you followed the pattern in a worsted or DK weight you would like it better. The XL was too big but the L might have been been better with adding an extra row of squares to give you the length you desire. I recently also completed a project that was fun and stretched my skills, but was not something I would actually wear.
    Join Nova's squares with slip stitch in the back loop might make that process go a bit faster.
    One day when I'm a grown-up I will try the sourdough.
    Parent is such a struggle. It's like playing a board game the the rules change every 5 to 9 minutes. Your doing great. I hope your giving yourself grace.

    Wonderful to see you Hannah! Love the sweater, I'm sure I'd wear it here in Northern IL. The journal is very cool, I agree, its a great project companion. The socks are so cute - I did purchase a sock ruler thru your link 😊 What brand knitting needles do you use? I've actually started to revive my long dormant knitting skills & am just practicing now but hope to make socks in the future. I've watched your bread journey & I must say all the bread looks amazing!! My husband & I make bread here & there, I limit my carbs as I watch my A1C, so I freeze bread to create resistant starch carbs, which are digested differently than non resistant starch carbs. Thanks for a great podcast 😊

      Would the sweater fit you? I'd be happy to send it to you if it might fit you and you think you would wear it. I'd rather it be loved than to sit in my closet.
      Do you love your sock ruler? It's my favorite!
      I have tried Lykke needles, Denise needles, and Chiaogoo needles, and my Chiaogoo metal interchangeable knitting needles are my absolute favorites. BUT if you have any hand issues/arthritis in your hands, I would recommend using the Lykke driftwood needles. They are much easier on the hands

    I think if you hadn't put the extra panel under the arms it would be better for you as you would lose some of that bulk. And maybe a longer bottom hem or an additional bit of plain crochet before the hem to lengthen it. It's a very nice cardigan but you live in Florida and it's a wool blend, bulky cardigan like your said so maybe it was never going to be the perfect fit 😞

    • @TheCozyCottageCrochet
