Mordheim inspired 3D Printed Terrain

- After doing two Roll 4 Terrain Challenges I fell in love with designing medieval terrain that can be used for the Mordheim game and other D&D style games. I really didn’t expect enjoying designing for this type of games. I have always been inclined to do science fiction related gaming terrain and games.
I took a couple of weeks to learn 3D sculpting to be able to do this. So far I have been using CAD to design my terrain. Now with combining both software type it has given me a great amount of freedom to do so much more and I promise I will take this to my limits and beyond.
I am not ready as of yet to release the files for you to download because I want to tweak a few things and still finding the right combination to minimize the file sizes of the STL’s without compromising the quality of the prints.
It won’t be long.
Thank you for watching this video and taking the time reading this as well as the patience waiting for my next video release.

One thing i would suggest if you havent already is also tiles of just the larger square stones to fill out the areas between the streets. Having terrain that fits your board frame would be amazing but the option to place scatter or standalone terrain pieces on the larger pathway fieldstones or having areas off the street would be awesome
@@wowkamikaze Greetings, welcome to my channel. All those empty spaces will be filled buildings, plaza and tons of scatter. The idea being it’s fully modular.
I watched the whole video and found it extremely interesting and very helpful. Great ideas and informative. ❤
@@Magda-wq1xp Thank you for watching and that you found it helpful.
The texture on the cobbles are amazing. Great sculpt!
@@_Hanover_ Thanks, I had fun doing it. I can’t wait to make more. Tomorrow I’m going to print one of those tiles standing up, we wont see the layer lines that way.
These are incredible dude, i cant wait to get my hands on these files. Imperfections or large file size isn’t an issue, these are exactly what i’ve been looking for. Please let me know when you’re ready to release them or if you want someone to help test them!
@@wowkamikaze thanks you, your compliments. They mean a lot. I will let you know. I will be releasing them in the next couple days.

@@barttopo3392 THank you for your comment. Had a lot of fun making it. I will soon have the STL available to purchase. I will also have some free terrain for it as well.
Loved this bro amazing work 😮❤
@@Kitbash.Carnage Thank you so much for your compliment. I’m really enjoying making these, I can’t wait to release and finish my first building.
Interested to see what buildings you design to go with it all.
@@NinetaleHobbies I’m doing a test run with a two story building…with a little surprise….if it works :P
@@NinetaleHobbies I’m planning to do a couple of houses, then a library, a chapel/church…not sure yet with cemetery.
Fantastic tiles. Would look good for Burrows and Badgers.
@@jamesfirth-haydon7381 Thank you for your compliment. I will have to check out that game.
I just checked it out. Pretty interesting game play and miniatures. I saw one video about being played with Mordheim, I will have to check this one out later.
Fantastic magnet tool and terrain designs as well! 💜
@@thelastnerdjosh Thank you , means a lot. They all come from a place of pure joy.

Great work on those tiles! What software(s) are you using?
@@CarnivoreChris89 Thank you for the compliment. I used Nomad Sculpt for all the brick and wood tiles and Sharpr3D for the bottom part where the magnet and connection points. I design everything on the iPad.
@@Slurgical_3D_Terrain_Channel On an iPad, wow! Thanks for telling me, I have been thinking about doing something similar myself. But never gotten around to it. You have inspired me I guess :)
@@CarnivoreChris89 that is awesome I inspired you. I’m using 2018 iPad Pro. I use my phone and iPad for recording, iPad for editing the videos and voice over. Laptop for the 3D printer slicer.
