Longest Turkey Beard EVER ?! - TeamWC

Well we all know that my Dad doesn't have very much patience...if any at all.
This morning we lined up a sure fire plan that we just knew was going to work, between the jakes running birds around and fence lines - it didn't. Cudos to Dad for not rushing the shot on the fence line bird but you can bet your bottom dollar he wanted to.
Fast forward to getting permission on a new farm and locating a bird strutting in a road at 1 o'clock.....
Although, we thought we had lost him to the hen after she drug him into the woods. Nearly an hour later, he answered my call and the rest in history.
As for the beard length.....this is by far the longest bird I've ever personally seen on a turkey while hunting. My dads best is 12 inches and I feel like this one would have trumped it. Except for the fact that Dad shot the bird before I was going to call at him in the gap and since the Rogue did its job, it took the beard with it. Left us with a solid 3 1/2 inches of beard. LOL
Cherish these moments more than anything else, these are the ones that never leave the memory bank.
