    This worked for me. Different Dell laptop but same procedure. Took the bottom off, disconnected the battery, plugged it back in, put the bottom back on, and it powered on. Another video mentioned a build-up of static electricity as being the cause of this. The guy said this disconnecting the battery discharges that build up. I don't know of that's true or if it even makes sense. At this point, I'm just really glad my work computer came back on. Thanks a million bro.

      Hmmm, I wonder how many thousands of dollars in repair fees my videos are costing the illegitimate PC repair industry. also, static build up sounds good but it's first time me hearing that.

      so everytime this issue happens we have to unplug the battery and plug it again ? is there any final solution for this ?

    • @group7842
      @group7842 10 месяцев назад

      @ahmedelgammal3096 I think I get where you're coming from, but to be fair, I'd been using this laptop for a couple years before this happened. I'm a teacher, so I use it every day, night and day (including weekends). During summer vacation I still use it, but a lot less. Summer break was coming to an end so I opened it up to do some preparation for the restart of classes, and it wouldn't turn on.....then I found this video. I'm not sure if and when it will happen again, but if it lasts as long as before the first time, I think I'm ok with that. In the meantime, maybe there's some validity to the "static build up" argument. Might be worth looking into how to prevent or minimize it.

    I thought this might fix my G15 5511, tried it and after plugging the battery back in a chip lit on fire. So although this didn’t fix my laptop I know what’s causing all my problems.

      wow, you have some short circuit going on or something. I would be careful and make sure everything is very clean inside before connecting battery again. make sure your hands are not clammy or sweating when handling. Be very careful. Always safety first.

    Faced this issue 2nd time. What's actually root cause for this?

      @ReviewCentralChannel  9 месяцев назад

      we all wish we knew . Some people are thinking maybe static build up and disconnecting and reconnecting it discharges it.

      I have been sticking to these dell alienware/high end models. Some are closer to 1000 euro . They handle gaming and such very well for long periods of time on highest settings, as long as they are plugged into power.

      No this is certainly a software related problem. Seems to be not serious enough for them to actually fix it. Plus they will be selling all new PC in the coming years. They probably don't care much to fix it for us.

    Do you disconnect the cmos battery???

    • @ReviewCentralChannel
      @ReviewCentralChannel  6 месяцев назад

      I would just follow the video closely and not do anything else to be safe. Just disconnect main battery terminals for the main battery. If it doesn't work, maybe need the battery replaced.

      maybe you need a battery. Sometimes I need to unplug battery terminals a little longer than ten seconds or so. usually I can do it quick though. Try slowly, and if not then maybe it might be your battery.
