Robert Welsh has a great video about this cushion foundation and how to apply it and other cushion foundation. Its very informative. He says just press the cushion sponge in once maybe twice and it wont look like there is any product on it but there is plenty. That way you dont apply too much and will be able to blend easier
That makeup looks great on you but I had the same issues you had in the end. I've tried it 3 times so far, as little of the product as I could to have a decent amount of coverage, with a little bit of concealer and a light dusting of powder. I'm 50 with good skin but a few fine lines and enlarged pores. Girl, I looked like I baked a damn cake right on my face!! I cannot get it to work for me! Although it did last, I'll give it that. I'm going to try buffing it out like you did and see if I can get it to work! Oh and oxidizing is when the makeup turns cakey and orangey - which to me this definitely did :(
Tati got me to! You pressed the sponge to much! You literally only need a tiny bit. It's better to work in layers. That way, it's not tacky at all. Even when the song looks like there's nothing there, there is. I totally love it! No powder is needed at all. You look so good by the way.
18:56 i make this very very light coverage skin like and it dry out completely and it’s not tacky at all. When I saw you press the puff on the cushion way too many times at the beginning, I was reminded that it absorbs so much more product than we think, I did same mistake and hated the first time I tried this lol Now I press ONCE and that’s enough for my whole entire face. It dry super fast to not tacky at all if you use a thin layer. This foundation dry to the correct color, it doesn’t oxidize. It start lighter when wet and then dries to the supposed final color so I wouldn’t recommend to take a lighter shade than your usual shade. Oxidation is when it turns orange or weird color when it mixes with our skin oils, this foundation do not turn a weird color, it actually always looks better color once dried. They sell a matching kit of multiple shades (9) for $1 for those who are not sure enough or not used to the Korean shade number system. I’m glad you managed to make it look pretty good despite applying more than necessary, but give it another try with a very light hand and I’m sure you’ll find a new love :)
Great video, I usually buy cushions in 23, but this time i got 24W, and it stays true, does not oxidize at all, I put on a light coat with the sponge applicator that comes with it for a true experience, love it.💕💕💕💕
Tati got me, too! You look gorgeous and ,because you went first, I’m no longer afraid to try mine. I am closing in on 75 and am concerned about this foundation settling in my fine lines and creating polka dots on my chin. I shall feel the fear and do it anyway!
Well I’m not gonna lie, there were dots all over, in places I’ve never seen dots before. BUT, I did use way too much. So I’m going to try it a few more times. Thanks for watching. 😍
With any of these compact serum foundations I use sparingly, I never use the applicator sponge, I tap out with a Beauty blender and I lightly set it. It Cosmetics was my favorite, of course discontinued. I use one from Missha which works well for me. Only three shades though. I think the draw for this Tir Tir is that they have such an expanded shade range, I think 20, whereas the majority of K beauty does not offer anywhere even close to that. I think this foundation looked so Good on you!
I used it again recently, it really is a beautiful full coverage foundation. I hope you like it. And thanks so much for watching. Hope you subscribed. 😍
Wish I had done that. I also use warm beige in every foundation so I got soft beige in this one. It is so yellow I look jaundiced, but a beautiful jaundiced! Lol I think I'll b stick with my Cat rice foundation for my 69 year old skin!
I watched Tati and I ordered one as well. I don’t think I care for it. It’s too much coverage for me. I used to love the full coverage makeup, but when I turned around 64 to 65, I much prefer a more natural subdued look. But, I think it’s lovely on you. ❤
UCK that Tati!!! 🤣. She “makes” me buy so much stuff. Like you, I used to LOVE full coverage. I didn’t understand what was the point in putting on foundation if it didn’t cover EVERYTHING. This foundation was the first time I used a full coverage in about a year or more. It really did look beautiful. I’m going to try different ways to apply it. Thanks so much for watching. 😍
I use Trinny London, don’t know if you can get it in America, it’s fantastic doesn’t crease in fine lines and wrinkles, makes skin look amazing with a soft glow. I’m 51 so heavy foundation is a big no no
This looked so nice on you for sure. I have seen a few tutorials that you need to dip into the product then dip again into the black side to pat some of the foundation on the black side. Like you I do not like a lot of foundation. You did a nice job.
That looks like a really nice foundation. I’ve never used a cushion one before, but I do like more coverage since I have rosacea. The tackiness kind of scares me, but I’ve got loose powder that can hopefully help set it. I’m also wondering if this might be better for me to use in the cooler months. It’s already hot and sticky here in NC, and I can feel that sliding off 😂😂
I got the 27n that Tati used. And it was the most yellow foundation ive ever seen after it dried. It did look smooth at first but after getting to work it was splochy and in every fine line in my forehead. So double up on the moisturizing.
Hi Roseanna, I think the foundation looked beautiful on you but I can see if you don’t like full coverage. I don’t either. But it did look really nice on you 💕great review!
I,too, ordered it after watching Tati. Haven’t used it yet but I see a lot of people say it is too full coverage for them. I, personally like full coverage. So, anxious to see what it does for. Y ski.
I got mine from Amazon Canada and paid $42 for it. I tried it and hated it and advertised it on Marketplace for $15 just to get rid of it. I tried it again the next day using almost next to nothing and it worked better. Today I wore it again and and was out shopping and looked in a store mirror and absolutely loved how my face looked. It's a keeper and I'm glad I didn't get rid of it. Considering how little I need to use, I think the undertaker will be able to use it on me when I leave!!!
Yes, I’ve used it differently with less of course, and different applications. It’s beautiful! Glad you kept it. Thanks so much for watching. Hope you’re subscribed. 😍
Hi, I ordered the sample pack with all of the shades so I could get a good match. It was only $1.80! Haven’t dove in yet but I’ll try it soon. I can’t put down my new Fenty soft lit, great for mature skin.
@@RoseannaSassoSchottenfeld I ordered that too! It’s supposed to be here on Tuesday. I’ve heard mixed reviews but I can’t wait to try it on mature skin also !
@@RoseannaSassoSchottenfeld have you been using it? Are you doing a review video? I’m curious to hear your thoughts. I’m 51 with normal to slightly dry skin.
Another one here who ordered this b/c of Tati. I have to really play around with it to get the right coverage. Not too much. I don’t like that it stays tacky, making setting powder necessary and then it doesn’t look natural. Will be returning.
I liked it on you, however I think you used a bit to much. I'm 61 and oily and I absolutely love this product. However, I use sparingly. For me it dries down perfectly.

You’re supposed to dab it on your face, and the black thing on the pad you can dab the cushion on it so you don’t have too much.
