We had fewer accidents, because only professionals could operate these trucks. Unfortunately, today we have very few manual transmissions. Most trucks are automatics, and most accidents, happen, because the drivers loose focus with their equipment. They are soo bored driving these automatic trucks, that most of them are on their phones, going down the road. Instead of banning the automatic trucks, the companies have decided to put inward facing cameras, which have not solved the problem. Instead now they have created zombies who fall asleep right in-front of the inward facing cameras. If we want to prevent these crazy truck accidents, let us go back to manual transmission.
