    Another approach for Question 20 29:10, without using f(x) = mx+b, by determining corresponding points of f(x).
    f(x) = (x+3) g(x)
    Corresponding points for [x, g(x), f(x)]
    [ -27, 3, -72]
    [ -9, 0, 0]
    [ 21, 5, 120]
    Equation for f(x) using first 2 points
    y = (72/18)(x+9) = 4x + 36
    Equation for f(x) using last 2 points
    y = (120/30)(x+9) = 4x + 36
    Thus, slope = 4, Y intercept = 36

    Would the answer for q22 be similar as in the negative number being the higher one if the question asks the exact same thing but the x ints are (-7,0) and (9,0) ?

      I chose the answer -4 for this

      Your midpoint
      (-7+9)/2 = 1
      Vertex equation
      -b/2a = 1
      b = -2a
      Your a+b equation
      (a+b) = -a
      If a is an integer greater than 1, it means that a can be 2, 3, 4, etc
      Your answer would be-2, -3, -4, etc
      It depends on the answer choices that are given to you, not necessarily the next negative number.
