I'm addicted to the sound palm muting makes.
Thanks for telling me where exactly I should place my hand, that really helps.
You’re welcome
thank you! I was playing dead notes, now I understand why.
So the trick is to keep my hand as close to the bridge as possible thank you I've been trying to perfect my palm muting for playing basket case

Ive been playing dead notes this whole time, thank you!
This entire time I have been just laying my fretting hand flat on the strings.
this is how youre supposed to play dead notes? ive been using my fret hand to mute the strings this whole time, thanks a lot!
Thank you!
that really helped , thanks
Ooooh it’s positioning. I was losing my damn mind over here, thought I was just touching it too hard or something
Thanks for the help, I was trying to play the song master of puppets by Metallica without the palm muting and it sounded a bit off, so thanks
Heavy metal is a genre where palm muting is used a lot, so make sure you practice palm muting a lot and get good at it if heavy metal is a genre that you like to play 😉
THX BRO, 🙏🙏😭
Thanks 😊
this is pretty late, but thank you for the video!
Oh man please tell me you have a video teaching How to do alternate picking while palm mute?
Not at the moment, but could plan one for the future if I get enough requests 😎
ohhhhhhh,THank you
So is this con sordino? I’m trying to understand what it means but can’t find a definition
Kind of. Sordina doesn’t exist on guitar, but the effect it’s the same
@@paolomotta900 Apparently at our school, Con sordino is the use of mute on an instrument. But I don’t quite under what the effect of a mute is?
@@KangaZune that’s right, in music literacy that’s what it means, but it’s not used for electric guitar terminology
@@paolomotta900 But what does mute do?
could you do a full version of ride the Lightning?
I don't think that will happen in the near future 😄
I've never used my palm to mute. I've always muted with my pinky
Спасибо мужик
What guitsr is that
Its a Stratocaster. Probably fender but idk
This is where the strat's volume knob fails lol.Specially when you have scratchy knobs
Left hand work is also involved here
Not necessarily for the technique itself. Of course if you need to play specific notes you need to make sure both hands are working together well.
gracias bana por fin te bajas del pony
palm mute on stratocaster is very uncomfortably because of the volume knob!
I think stratocaster volume knob is just uncomfortable in general 😄although being very close you can do lots of tricks with it
Tiene una pelucita en la cabeza uwu
it sounds high pitched and really bad
