- Germany always loved this song and Paul Harris rocked that piano. (I've included "Music! Music! Music!" (by Weiss & Baum) since the mid-Seventies.) Thanks to Michael Schneider and Jim McGuire for preserving this footage for me.

Ok confession time - I fell in love with Melanie and her music back in 1969 when I was 16 and I have been buying her albums (yup ALBUMS) and CDs ever since! So Melanie - thank you for the years and years of great music, memories and fun and for all the times your music has lifted my spirits and made me smile. I love this video! Keep 'em coming :)
This song always reminded me of one my father used to sing when I was a kid, "Put another nickel in, in the Nickelodeon". Love ya Melanie, thanks for the indication you're still alive!!!
A little vintage pop, a jazzy vocal, some Dylanesque highlights +a whole bunch of POWER and LOVE from such a meaningful performer= the Beautiful Melanie, enriching our world.
They will never quarantine my heart or my mind !
Thank You, Melanie for the time travel trip back to Germany. ✌😀
SIMPLE, SINCERE, AN UNFORGETTABLE SINGER. I LOVE HER.
You’re the real deal, Melanie, and you’ve stayed true to the ideal. Love you.
“They only put in a nickel and the want a dollar song.” Yeah, tell me about it.
Well, I tell ye lassie
I found ye on a RUclips video about stones and you’ve had me hypnotised since. Born in 75 when you were at your prime. The smile the voice the soul one of a kind.

Melanie! Always love hearing and watching you perform! !
thank you so much for sharing these powerful and beautiful moments. MUCH RESPECT
Any lists made up of the greatest female voices would have to include Melanie amongst the top. Thanks for sharing.
a long time ago i sent you a letter saying how much i enjoyed your new album 'as i see it now' saying just that, we'll keep putting in a nickel and you give us a dollar song, you sent me a merry christmas card , i was soooo thrilled 💚
I got one too! It was thick red paper folded into thirds, sealed with a letter M wax stamp. On the inside, it said Merry Christmas and had a star - the kind teachers would put on your good school papers. What a treasure it was. I still have it somewhere. I would never have gotten rid of anything so special.
Citrus and Clove mine was all the same except it was yellow cardboard, its saved smash in her Madgrudra album
@@harrybrookover9990 I will check my albums for the card!
I love this!
Once it's safe again, Melanie, if we all bring a nickel could you give us a dollar concert?
Do you still occasionally tour, because I'd definitely pay as many nickels as it took to attend!
Melanie I first saw you on the Big Screen, Woodstock movie playing at the base theater in 1970. A room full of G.I.'s and a screen full of Hippy's.They only played the movie one night. Guess someone big didn't approve. That movie gave me a whole new prospective on what I was doing. Been listening to you ever since. Oh yea, my room mate fell in love with you that night. Melanie, Melanie is all I heard for awhile. Your name was embedded in my brain. Hope you are well.
I had a crush on Melanie back around 1969 or so, when her second album came out. I would listen to the first two albums repeatedly, which did not please my girlfriend/partner at the time. We were living in Manhattan and I remember going to Melanie's concert in Central Park.
My enthusiasm for Melanie and her music cooled somewhat when she became a lot mellower with Candles in the Rain. I guess I was somewhat hooked on angst.
Aaron she still is a Great Looking Gal with great Talent lol
Melanie,I saved my money and when I was six your's was the first album I ever bought. You were a huge influence on my life, much love
You bought an album when you were…..six?!! I was probably in Jr High!
