not sure about that BHS mount + straddle jump though, she'll likely get 0.1 off for slow connection which negates the 0.1 CV. She's better off doing the switch leap series as a mount for an extra 0.2 in base value and CV. And she needs to reduce the number of elements performed to minimise deductions, which will likely be harsher at the Olympics
@@poshbo she gets her mixed series bonus with the switch split, tour jete, and Korbut anyways so if she misses the connection out of the aerial like she did here then it won’t matter. Honestly you could say that any series is a “deduction trap” since missing them always loses you the connection bonus. She usually doesn’t miss this connection tho so I don’t really see a reason to change the routine composition especially because the change leap into the double stag is literally perfect in execution
The amount of effort and pain these girls must bring to achieve these kinds of skills are tremendous,a lot of the times they are under compensated too, hope to see them bring their best again in the Olympics soon

As much as I would love to see China challenge, their VTs alone are so weak. If they twist their hearts out on FX, maybe they can keep pace with USA, but unless the USA screws up ROYALLY, and the GOAT gets the Olympic Twisties II (Which is entirely possible), I just don't see China winning Gold. They need a strong Vaulter/FX Worker like Chung Fei back in 08, to really pose a challenge. But it is the Olympics, so anything can happen!
@@Beargeek616 their recent china nationals showed 2 potential olympians with a dty and dtt. If those 2 make it then the gap really narrows in vt/fx while their ub/bb are likely few points better. In fx we saw from the last worlds judges are serious about artistry deductions and simone and jade incur bad ones. Again based on their most recent international showing. Hopefully they both reworked their routines now they see judges are serious. All these to say usa can’t afford to have any mishaps if they hope to reclaim that team gold.

They can’t challenge the U.S. though. Their floor and especially vault are too weak. The U.S. would have to have the worst meet of their lives to lose
