The creative talent of Angelina Jordan is astonishing. Angelina Jordan's rendition of "Unchained Melody" for the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony was a tribute to laureate Narges Mohammadi, showcasing not only her vocal talent but also her skill in musical arrangement. Working closely with the Kork Orchestra, Jordan meticulously crafted the performance during rehearsals, collaborating with other musicians to bring her vision to life. This behind-the-scenes effort is a testament to her dedication to her craft, allowing audiences to appreciate the intricate process of creating such a moving tribute. Her performance, broadcasted on NRK1, Norway, and shared across various platforms, has been praised for its emotional depth and artistic integrity, reflecting Jordan's deep connection to the piece and the event it honored.
Thanks for the beautiful reaction, this is a wonderful song and her voice is simply heavenly, for Angelina vocal power is just one of her tools, she doesn't want to amaze but to interpret, and for her the whispered, the slow flow have the same importance as the high and of powerful tones, each of its styles has reason to be used only as an expression of emotional communication, no more and no less. Her musical recipes have such an intoxicating balance and flavor that you can imagine being in a starred restaurant that only serves top musical dishes.💛🧡❤
if you take the time to read this you will truly understand that AJ is the most extraordinary storyteller of our lifetime. Unchained Melody Nobel Peace Prize Dec. 2023 Unchained Melody (AJ, at the age of 17 performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony December 2023 in Oslo, Norway with the KORK Orchestra) I watched as Angelina Jordan stepped onto the stage, her presence commanding attention. The room hushed, anticipation hanging in the air like a delicate thread. She stood there, a young girl with an old soul, ready to weave magic with her voice. As the first notes of "Unchained Melody" filled the room, time seemed to slow. Angelina's voice wrapped around each word, infusing them with a depth that transcended mere lyrics. It was as though the song had been written for her, and her alone. The audience held its breath as she sang. Her voice soared, reaching heights that touched the heavens. The pain and longing in her eyes mirrored the emotions in the song-the heartache, the yearning. It was more than a performance; it was a revelation. The chorus came, and Angelina's voice swelled, filling every corner of the room. " Oh, my love, my darling I've hungered, hungered for your touch," she sang, and suddenly, we all felt the real meaning of the words. The magic in her performance was like nothing we had ever experienced in our lives. The lyrics came alive and had meaning as they flowed through us. In that moment, Angelina Jordan became a vessel for something greater-an embodiment of love itself. Her voice carried us beyond our own pain and loneliness. We felt connected-to her, to each other, to something intangible yet profound. As she held that final note, time snapped back into place. The applause erupted-a thunderous acknowledgment of what we had just witnessed. But it wasn't just applause; it was gratitude-for allowing us to glimpse love and longing through Angelina's eyes. And so, we stood there, hearts full, tears in our eyes. Angelina Jordan had given us something rare-a reminder that love exists even in our brokenness. And for those few minutes, we believed it with every fiber of our being. (CopyRight)

1955 movie UNCHAINED. BOBBY Hatfield of The Righteous Brothers 1965 recording is the most popular and this is the rendition Angelina did at 17 years old.
AJ has performed with the KORK Orchestra on many occasions. Angelina Jordan's collaborations with the KORK Orchestra have showcased her remarkable talent and leadership in music. Her hands-on approach in co-arranging performances with the orchestra leader and her insistence on being in charge reflect her dedication to her art. The public rehearsals offer a transparent view into the creative process, highlighting the meticulous work that goes into each performance. Jordan's commitment to perfect pitch is crucial, as it ensures the highest quality of musical experience, especially for those with a keen sense of hearing who can detect even the slightest distortion. Her ability to lead and shape the music, rather than follow, speaks volumes about her influence and control in the realm of musical performance. (If you saw the rehearsal video for this performance you would see how much AJ was involved with the arrangement.) (CopyRight LDP)
The recipient of that year's award was Narges Mohammadi, an Iranian dissident currently imprisoned in Iran for her courageous activism and outspoken advocacy for women's rights. Representing her at the event were her twin children, who spoke movingly on her behalf before Angelina's performance. The twins, close in age to Angelina, have been separated from their mother for years, adding a profound emotional weight to the evening. Before taking the stage, Angelina had the opportunity to speak with the children, a moment that surely deepened the poignancy of her performance. Angelina herself has Iranian roots through her grandmother Mery, who is fully Iranian. If you've ever seen videos of Angelina with her family-especially her grandmother-you'll immediately notice the unmistakable bond they share. Their connection is filled with love, a truly beautiful thing to witness. For me, this was the most stunning performance of Angelina's career-a career that is still in its infancy. On this night, our beautiful angel truly came of age.
To me this performance is the new "gold standard" for this song. Most people consider Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers' version to be the best, or some believe the Elvis version is best, but Angelina has taken this classic song to a new generation & I imagine that Bobby & Elvis are smiling somewhere. This delicate version was because the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize was Narges Mohammadi, who is in jail in Iran because she is an advocate for women's rights. Angelina is singing to her husband & twin children who live in exile in France & haven't seen Narges for over 10 years. The song is most appropriate because it is about a prisoner in jail longing to be with their family. Great reaction. Thanks.
He is using earbuds, and they cannot physically give you anywhere close to the fidelity of the range that any good vocalist sings in, let alone this once in a millennium vocalist called Angelina Jordan.
Great reaction Rick. Angelina inspires me to do what I can to help make the world a better place, so I am asking all angels and others to spread the story of Narges Mohammadi. Angelina was recorded here in December 2023 at the Nobel Peace prize ceremony in Oslo Norway, performing this beautiful version of Unchained Melody. She paid tribute to Narges, who is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two twin children, who are 17, spoke on her behalf at this event. The more people who are aware and call for change, the more likely the leaders of Iran will hear them. Acts of kindness are inspirational, as Angelina always reminds us. We angels, and all others must honor Angelina, and those who represent our values, by doing all we can to help, and be kind to others. Even the smallest gestures can make a difference. Thank you for providing artist links to the official channel and video in your description, and encouraging your viewers to use those links as you do for your own channel. That will help ensure her success and her goal of spreading peace and love to the world.
Very nice reaction, my friend 🙂 Yes, this was a very graceful and dignified performance of the song, perfect for the setting. The Nobel Peace Price winner was Narges Mohammadi, an Iranian women's rights advocate, who has been imprisoned in Iran for many years. She has a twin daughter and son, almost the same age as Angelina, currently living in France with their uncle. They came to Norway to attend this concert and to receive the price on their mother's behalf. They sat just a very few meters away from her, so it must have been very strong and special. Also, taking into consideration what the story in the song is about, (and if you have watched the movie where this is the sound track) you'll see that the choice of song (and Angelina's arrangement of it) was the perfect choice. Lastly I also want to mention that Angelina's biggest inspiration in life, and the main reason why we can enjoy Angelina and her singing the way we do today, is her grandmother Mery Zamani. Mery is ALSO from Iran, just like Narges, so you can imagine the conversations she and Angelina must have had regarding women's rights in the country. This must have been an EXTREMELY important performance for Angelina, her grandmother and ofc the entire family. Take care and stay safe! Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
She tailored this performance perfectly for the setting, location, accompaniment, and the arrangement was perfect. The a capella, the run she did after that, that strong vocal fry near the end were all perfectly placed and it was sung gently with a narrow dynamic range for most of the song and we all know she could have blown the roof off but even the belts were very restrained or done with head voice.
A phenomenal performance by AJ,she is so humbled to be performing at home with the Norwegian Kork orchestra at this special event,Angelina has performed at the Nobel peace event before at 8 years old with her rendition of What a wonderful world, and also performed with the Norwegian Kork orchestra before, once at 10 years old with her amazing rendition of Back to Black, and again at 10 with the song Summertime, Angelina is so special, I attended her Christmas concert last year, she is phenomenal Live, great reaction thanks 🙏
Thanks Rick. Angelina has the ability to sing a song the way is should be sung. We know she is quite capable to give us all the flash and bang vocals but she ultimately respects the music and sings it with care and beauty. Real artists understand what needs to be done and here is a perfect example. Cheers. Stay well.
What a shame that the short announcement before the song failed to mention that Angelina was Norwegian, and that in front of her were the twin children, also 17, of the incarcerated recipient of the prestigious Peace Prize. She was singing to the children, who had not seen their mother in many years, and, as you said, in a soft and empathetic way.
Bobby's rendition has always been considered 'The Gold Standard' and rightfully so. That said, Angelina brings forth more emotion laden penetration to the listener than Bobby. I consider it so good that I would call it 'The Platinum Standard' for the song.
Not the best version you have heard, are you crazy? Get yourself a hi-end pair of headphones instead of the cheap earbuds you are using. When it comes to sound quality, both earbuds and headphones have their own strengths and weaknesses. Here's a comparison to help you decide which might be better for you: Earbuds • Portability: Earbuds are compact and easy to carry around, making them ideal for on-the-go use. • Comfort: They are lightweight and less obtrusive, which can be more comfortable for extended wear. • Sound Quality: While modern earbuds have improved significantly, they generally have smaller drivers, which can limit their ability to produce deep bass and a wide soundstage. • Isolation: Many earbuds offer good noise isolation, especially in-ear models that fit snugly in the ear canal. Headphones • Sound Quality: Headphones, especially over-ear models, typically offer superior sound quality with larger drivers that can produce a richer, more detailed sound. • Comfort: Over-ear headphones can be more comfortable for long listening sessions as they distribute pressure more evenly around the ears. • Noise Cancellation: Many high-end headphones come with advanced noise-canceling features, which can be more effective than those found in earbuds. • Portability: Headphones are bulkier and less portable compared to earbuds, which can be a drawback if you need something for travel or workouts.
Thanks for sharing. There are a lot of great versions of this 1955 song with music by Alex North and lyrics by Hy Zaret. Angelina did justice to the original on the soundtrack of the 1955 film "Unchained", but here are my top four versions not in any specific order: 1. The most well known version by the Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody [Live - Best Quality] (1965) when there were no pitch correction & many other vocals processing techniques. This video has gathered 76M views in 12 years - ruclips.net/video/IYj2hex99gY/видео.htmlsi=dhc1I6mwPzpWlqbt 2. JONATHAN ANTOINE | UNCHAINED MELODY | LIVE IN CONCERT with 12M views in 6 years - ruclips.net/video/I56vPUY63X4/видео.htmlsi=sYqRQV7ooP7kXLi5 3. Susan Boyle - Unchained Melody (Live) with 15M views in 13 years - ruclips.net/video/-YQhmSsEST4/видео.htmlsi=He4RaahQIBSAoiEp 4. Unchained Melody - Lucy Thomas - (Official Music Video) with 5,4M views in just 7 months - ruclips.net/video/mqkx7Av6yMg/видео.htmlsi=xheFLXQSZFrCSPMg
Erm... Sorry I know this is your personal top 4, but really number 4 Lucy Thomas, music video pitch corrected fully every sustained note. Is better than this live? This is top for me, right up there with the Righteous Brothers version. Anyway, just saying that it's a bit weird.
@@TroyArchAngel Prove me that Lucy's version is pitch corrected & Angelina's isn't as real time pitch correction has existed for years & live vocals can be pitch corrected in real time, like they do with e.g. Justin Bieber. Do you also think that this live performance by Lucy is pitch corrected? "Hallelujah" - Lucy Thomas - (Official Manchester Concert Video).
@@tarmotyyri6733 Lucy videos all pitch corrected it's so corrected that you can tell for sure LOL are you for real? So this is the first proof, ruclips.net/video/dGuEXd9ahvw/видео.html and the second ruclips.net/video/Vrg1yqtEuwM/видео.html Couldn't find Unchained Melody of Lucy that has been checked but it's the same as Hallelujah. All her official videos are. Anyway I know it's your personal favourite. And you may have whatever you want as your favourite. For me I couldn't listen to Lucy without my ears hurting from a lot of manipulation of pitch LOL I just searched Lucy Thomas pitch correction and grabbed whatever I can see because I know all her performances are manipulated ruclips.net/video/8fncfrc0Zrc/видео.html. Angelina and this performance from the same person checking it found no manipulation whatsoever, this is live and raw. And whatever TV shows do nowadays, but her performance is not pitch manipulated or corrected it shows on pitch monitoring software that it's human voice with imperfections. It's so obvious when you hear Lucy sounds so perfect on pitch that it's unnatural, it's not how the human voice works because it's a software. Anyway done rambling. Thought I'd give you an eye opener. I know you are a fan of Lucy so whatever I say and show makes no difference, you may listen and have your top 4 as however you want 😁 For me it's like this, there is this pitch correction and that "everyone does it now" so it's fine. No it's not, using it and accepting it means you gave up on your true vocal talent. The industry is pushing it so everyone sounds the same and everyone sells albums and there won't be one that is superior above all others. That's the game and "YOU" are in it. I gladly say I am not and I listen to only honest and real vocalists like Angelina Jordan Astar, which I know for sure she is real and never uses manipulation (if she did in the past, I'm 100% sure that it wasn't from her side) because she has the best voice of this era and she would be the superior one above all if it wasn't for the industry being like this now that you have to accept the corrections or else you have no future, you are on your own. Still if you check the main source of everyday music listeners like Spotify, Angelina sits at 1.5 million monthly listeners and Lucy at barely 200K.... And I'm positive that if the industry nowadays wasn't about everything fake, Angelina would be as Amy Winehouse was or even bigger now. But obviously times change and nowadays there can never be big names and legends in music with the way the industry has changed their business. Take care and still you may have and listen to whatever you want as your favourites. God bless you

Moddy Blue???????????????????????????????????????????????????
Unchained Melody:
"Unchained Melody" is a 1955 song with music by Alex North and lyrics by Hy Zaret. North wrote the music as a theme for the prison film Unchained (1955), ...
Alex North (born Isadore Soifer, December 4, 1910 - September 8, 1991) was an American composer best known for his many film scores, including A Streetcar Named Desire (one of the first jazz-based film scores), Viva Zapata!, Spartacus, Cleopatra, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? He received fifteen Academy Award nominations for his work as a composer; while he did not win for any of his nominations, he received an Honorary Academy Award in 1986, the first for a composer.
He wrote the music for Unchained Melody as the theme for the prison film Unchained (1955),[2] It has become a standard and one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, with over 1,500 recordings made by more than 670 artists, in multiple languages.
First theatrical release was by Todd Duncan (January 19, 1955) and then by Liberace (February 21, 1955)
I was a Righteous Brothers fan, but they should not have messed with this classic. My personal opinion is that Bobby Hatfield destroyed Unchained Melody. Todd Duncan sang this classic in a movie in 1955 about a black man in prison and did a great version of this ballad. Again, this is a ballad and was recorded by Johnny Mathis, Andy Williams, and the greatest version of all was done by John Gary. Now, after hearing AJ's version of Bohemians Rhapsody, I am sure she could do a better job arranging it than the version by Bobby Hatfield that she performed as a child of 9 years of age.
I just experienced a short clip from Angelina Jordan's concert in Portsmouth, NH Sept 22, 2023, where she performed Unchained Melody that she rearranged, and it was glorious to say the least. I knew she would put her magic touch on one of the greatest emotional song that has ever written. .©

• Sound Quality: Headphones, especially over-ear models, typically offer superior sound quality with larger drivers that can produce a richer, more detailed sound.

2. JONATHAN ANTOINE | UNCHAINED MELODY | LIVE IN CONCERT with 12M views in 6 years - ruclips.net/video/I56vPUY63X4/видео.htmlsi=sYqRQV7ooP7kXLi5
3. Susan Boyle - Unchained Melody (Live) with 15M views in 13 years - ruclips.net/video/-YQhmSsEST4/видео.htmlsi=He4RaahQIBSAoiEp
4. Unchained Melody - Lucy Thomas - (Official Music Video) with 5,4M views in just 7 months - ruclips.net/video/mqkx7Av6yMg/видео.htmlsi=xheFLXQSZFrCSPMg
Thanks Tarmo. 😊
@@B-Drags-Den My pleasure, Hope you have time to at least watch/listen to all those other versions.
So this is the first proof, ruclips.net/video/dGuEXd9ahvw/видео.html and the second ruclips.net/video/Vrg1yqtEuwM/видео.html
Couldn't find Unchained Melody of Lucy that has been checked but it's the same as Hallelujah. All her official videos are. Anyway I know it's your personal favourite. And you may have whatever you want as your favourite. For me I couldn't listen to Lucy without my ears hurting from a lot of manipulation of pitch LOL
I just searched Lucy Thomas pitch correction and grabbed whatever I can see because I know all her performances are manipulated
ruclips.net/video/8fncfrc0Zrc/видео.html. I know you are a fan of Lucy so whatever I say and show makes no difference, you may listen and have your top 4 as however you want 😁
For me it's like this, there is this pitch correction and that "everyone does it now" so it's fine.
