    I was there from 1994-1997 then from 1998-2004. Its a good place and area and the area has everything to fulfill whatever your interests are. The negative is if there is ever a wreck on i-5 through there Puget Sound and the military bases create a pinch point where traffic can back up for miles, like 15-20 miles. Overall its a good place to be stationed.

    Basic training with E-4-1 beginning March 7, 1967, followed by AIT. Left for OCS in July 1967. The only thing I recognize in this video is the snow!! LOL

    Cold War Era, STARC ,HHD Bn , Admin. 1977., Whole base was Over Hauled, I was trained for U.S.Army Alaska ( first phases of Computer Intruduction Trasition to Units )

    Can't believe it was 69 years ago 54/55. HQ Co 23rd Infantry Regiment 2nd Infantry. Took part in the filming of "To Hell & Back" Audrey Murphy's life story.

    Did 16 months at Ft. Lewis. Aco 864th Engineer Bn. From spring on 73 until fall of 74. We were just down from Gray Army Airfield. 864th is still there but I think they are located in a different place. I loved being stationed there.

    Was stationed there from 1980 to 1982 with 277 Armor. It's changed a lot.
