139 Likes (including mine) and 0 dislikes, I think it's time for those two videos. I enjoyed watching this; You made it look manageable and it was easy to follow. I already pulled my carpet but need to sand and stain😁Thank you for sharing! Good work...
i gave a thumbs up before the dog. There should be an extra thumbs up for being such a great dog parent. It's evident in all dog scenes, but a great bonus at the end. PLUS, just great info and demonstration.
Lol… 😂 “now this is the part where you’re just gonna just end up getting drunk and doing” hilarious literally laughed out loud. Also, so informative. You made this look fun and easy. Thank You!
I love that you honor the need for beer during this process. I'm going to be doing this in the next two days and believe me: I plan to pick up a case before starting this project!
that beer tip was great. have a house project coming up soon and I'm gonna use your beer tip. (ok ok, all the other tips and stuff you got in this video was helpful also) Looking forward to part 2 and 3.
So my hallway had the original flooring replaced with plywood before I had moved in....and I already tore out most of my carpet....so what now? lol I still have the original flooring in my room but then theres that plywood hallway. Can I do anything to blend it in? maybe stain the flooring the same color?
+Nicholasa amorsiempre Najar Can't say without seeing it. But I'm sure the stain is to deep into the wood. So you have to sand and refinish your floors

Did find a piece of plywood but it was in the middle of the room against the wall. Almost looks like it was done to provide access. Need to think of a creative way to work with this.
Here for research purposes. I appreciate the beer placement tips, but can I suggest mono mixing for you audio track? Oh wait... as I was typing this you fixed it. You get a like from me sir.
Tiny House Customs I'll be ripping the carpet up in about 20mins in the new baby room. Pregnant wife demands hardwood flooring. Not sure on what varnishing to use besides it being non gloss. Guess Ill ask the wife how dark she wants the flooring
My O.C.D a#$ would have a dust buster or vacuum on hand to vaccum up all those staples and fibres 😂 thank you so much for this vid! About to move into my own place and know this is the first thing I will do to the horrible marble looking blue carpet 😷
So...sanding and refinishing Done yet? I finally found someone who did the removal of carpet different than we did and would of been nice to have known when removing from other home we finally gave up on and sold but have to fix wood floors in other home before we sell it soon...so hopefully its in editing stage? And soon it'll be here? Lol thanks for future reference I know what we did was the hard way lol oh well
haven't started yet. been busy building my tiny house trailer. When you use the drum sander, one bit of advise is, if the drum is spinning and on the floor, it needs to be moving forward or back. ease the handle down while pulling the machine back and use the edger to get what you missed. best of luck:)
Tiny House Customs ah OK thanks... That's OK...actually how I found your channel was that awesome trailer house you're building...I was looking for how to replicate our home into small form...lol its oddly shaped so its a bit of a challenge probably just going to forget building it lol
+Karl Krauss The floors weren't in that bad of shape. Also he was cheep and was selling the house and didn't care to much about it. Sorry. I'd love to do part 2-3 in another house one day.
Your video was good so I bet a lot of people hope you can. I just had my offer accepted on an older house that has carpet and am wondering if I have hardwood floors underneath.
5 Years, and he's still sanding. Video 2, coming soon.
Good job bro.
8 years
I wish all "how to" videos included instruction for when to start drinking during a project!!! Grade A man! Thank you!

So what would you do if when pulling the carpet out you came to a spot that was just plywood??
So my hallway had the original flooring replaced with plywood before I had moved in....and I already tore out most of my carpet....so what now? lol I still have the original flooring in my room but then theres that plywood hallway. Are we ever getting a second and third. Oh I really needed this. Darn
Thanks for the videos as iam looking to remove carpets and resand&restrain floors. For all the staples and nailes would they still show after sanding
+Laeth B pull all the metal from the wood. Full with a good wood putty and sand. You should be fine.
Does the gunk from the padding that is stuck to the floor come up when you sand it?
This was such a helpful video. Was the series just never finished?
Im gutted you didnt make the other videos! I just gave you a subscription too!! 😭
excelente video muchas gracias espero el video de como pintas esa madera
Any advice to remove the stain from padding on hardwood floor? Its the same stain as in video. Thxs
+Nicholasa amorsiempre Najar Can't say without seeing it. But I'm sure the stain is to deep into the wood. So you have to sand and refinish your floors
Did you ever add parts 2 & 3?
+Joe H unfortunately no. I moved out of the place before I was able to finish the project
This guy is my hero
Great video, and glad to see a little four paw helper :)
Great vid. But try cutting carpet, after pealing a lil' bit, on underside of carpet. Much easier.

+withluv02 Unfortunately I moved out of the place before I could do the other parts. Sorry.
+Tiny House Customs you should retitle this then as "how to remove carpeting".
Thumbs up for the beer advice alone.
Did you sand and finish the floors?
Na I moved out before I could finish the project sore
Your dog seems very happy
Did you ever finish the floors? LOL cuz it seems quite a while to not have the other parts.

this vid is great. what happened to part 2 and 3
Great job !
Where's part 2 & 3?
Legend has it, 4 years later, he's still sipping on that bear and can't finish part 2 and 3.
Thank you so much. This was perfect for what I needed
I was just about to say you got me thinking I'm losing my hearing 🤣 thanks for addressing that

Is it normal over there to drink beer and bring your dog to clients houses? Haha
The drinking ideas lol
Damn, sure wish he’d finish part 2 & 3
7 years now ..
I hear the music intro but other than that just muffled static...no talking or other audio.
7 years now and still no part 2 or 3…instead of pulling staples for days I guess he should have said pulling staples for years…
I think i might be in love

👏🏻
Thanx for the great video - cracks me up to hear you talkin to the dawger. Bahahahah

Sorry. Will never happen. Moved out before the landlord wanted it done. :(
He had you pull all the carpet but not finish the floors?
+Karl Krauss The floors weren't in that bad of shape. Also he was cheep and was selling the house and didn't care to much about it. Sorry. I'd love to do part 2-3 in another house one day.
