Very good points, repeatability builds accuracy. Just acquired a competitive crossbow, found the OEM scope was defective, they happily replaced and accuracy was confirmed. Great points on weighing arrows and numbering them. I have been shooting compounds for 40+ years and just switching to crossbows this year. I appreciate your information as it’s the same for all types of shooting, traditional archery or firearms repeatability builds accuracy.

Thanks for the arrow numbering and grouping tip. Arrows 1, 4 and 5 are hitting in almost the same spot at 30 yards. Arrow 2 is over 2.5 inches off, at 10:00 and arrow 6 is 3 inches off, at 2:30. Any ideas what to do with these arrows?

Try rotating the nock to a different vane, it’s most likely the spine is in different alignment with the cock vane, if that works mark the vane as the new cock vane…if that doesn’t work satisfactorily, strip off the vanes and try bare shaft tuning by rotating the nock to find best spine orientation, then reflech

Excellent information on improving accuracy….. I have a Viper S 415 but haven’t fired it yet, but would like to know if the HPX nock can be used on bows that require HP nocks

I bought the tx 7:59 440 the scope makes no sense. Variable scope along with an arrow weight auto calibration I guess u would call it . The scope has a manual mechanical lock ring just in front of the variable ring u turn to select scope power it also has to be in the unlock position to turn the dial to your bolt weight. When u lock the ring it locks the variable function on the scope to where the arrow weight varies as u rotate the power selector collar. So it’s no longer variable or I’m missing something. Scope sounds good but not impressed for what they want price wise on the scope and bow. I think the bow is a bad boy!

I purchased a new Wicked Ridge crossbow. The multiline Tenpoint scope was suppose to be set at 20 yards at the factory. First shot was one foot low and 1 foot to the right. It shot consistently at the same point. Both top and side adjustments are presently maxed out and the crossbow is still 2" to the right. One week of trying to contact Wicked Ridge with no luck. The phone queue is over loaded. Any advice as how to restart and set this scope?

I am here for the information. I don’t own a Tenpoint crossbow I will never own one again. When you do need help with it you won’t get it.

I’m buying Excalibur less things that could go wrong ?
If I have to use a bubble level so I don’t slightly cant the bow while hunting ! 🤦‍♂️
Most crossbows are just throw aways after 10 years?

This... lol bought a brand new Nitro 505 xero, I spot no more than 50 bolts through it, BOW blew up the NIGHT BEFORE a 35,000$ Mexico hunt
I was told "During our investigation we determined the nock was not aligned which caused the bow to blow up"
Something that is not stated on ANY PIECE OF PAPER that comes with the bow (Website is now listed to say this)
AND SOMETHING THEY UPDATED with the new bows/nocks with the new alpha system(or whatever its called)
Absolutely absurd I had to pay like 200-300$ out of pocket for repairs, and get back a used repaired crossbow
from something that brock BECAUSE OF THEIR failure of parts (To be clear, bow, bolts, field points, nocks everything was tenpoint branded equipment)
This was a chance for them to say "We are sorry this happened, send us in the bow, we will send you a new crossbow back with the updated nocks that prevent this"
AND DISCONTINUE the old nocks, but instead blamed the customer... lol
The crossbow no doubt is amazing, IO even want the new trx now.
but the customer service and getting unbelievable attitude on the phone, and 6 months of waiting for them to fix it
      was unbearable.
