    Thanks for unlocking some of the mysteries here! You say the toe switch is only used to change the expression pedal effects from wah to volume, etc. But if you're just using it for a wah you can use the toe switch to turn it on and off. No auto detect needed. You don't actually need to assign a foot switch for the wah either.

    Doug, thanks for putting the time in and sharing. Editing, playing and tones were great. For me, on my pedalboard (with Iridium) and now the TMP, I use a lot of swells with ambient tones in Worship Music. One thing I noticed and changed on my board was putting all my compression, boosts, and drives/OD in front of my volume pedal (last pedal in the chain before hitting amp modeler and wet effects). That way, the drive pedals are receiving the guitar signal on whatever the guitar volume is (typically full 10 for me) and when the volume pedal is engaged toe side, the drive signal is full as you volume up. Suggest trying the volume pedal behind the Big Green right before the amp and see if that helps with this particular sample on the TMP.

    Doug! Love your videos! So helpful! Hi, watched one that I wanted to work on about setting up a song. It was live free and was real basic and just what I needed, but I can’t find it. Did you take it down and can I see that one I really want to go over it, and I think it will help me get a foundation for how to use my tone master pro. Any other suggestions about how I can build that knowledge of how to do songs sets lists and presets would be great. Thanks again.

    Hey Doug, Love your vids, I'm waiting on my Mission Engineering SP1-TMP Tone Master Pro Expression Pedal to arrive and have a? You mentioned that you can use the SP1 for volume first in the chain like useing your guitar volume or at the end of the chain to adjust amp volume, Can you put a volume first in the chain and use the toe switch and end of chain on the same preset if needed especially for a live situation.

    • @DougBsDigitalDen
      @DougBsDigitalDen  28 дней назад

      Yes - you'd set up one Volume pedal at the beginning of the chain and another Volume pedal at the end. Go thru the setup in this vid, but substitute the 2nd Volume Pedal for the Wah. Thanks for watching 👍

    Hi Doug. First off, thanks for all the helpful videos on the Fender TMP. I have the Mission Fender TMP pedal. One thing I haven’t been able to do is set the wah pedal to switchless bypass heel down and the volume pedal switchless bypass off simultaneously. If one is set to heel down so is the other and if one is set to off both are. Is this the way it is or have I missed something? If you see this and have time let me know what you think. Thanks!

    • @DougBsDigitalDen
      @DougBsDigitalDen  2 месяца назад +1

      You don't need to use switchless bypass with the Mission TMP pedal, because it has a toe switch. If you go to the 13:33 mark in this video, I show you how to set it up as a volume+wah pedal. Hope this helps!

    Hey Doug, thank you for the video. Just what I needed! I have a question if you don't mind. I am exploring the same method you cover in 14:00, using both volume and wah pedals in expression pedal, and switching one from another with the toe switch. However the toe switch is momentary, it changes to the wah option only when fully depressed. When I move my feet back, pedal goes back to functioning as volume only. Any suggestions? What am I doing wrong?

    Hey Doug thanks for your content about TMP
    Do you know any method to control how much of the signal goes to left and to the right using the expression pedal ?
    I’m thinking about a parallel signal path for a song that starts with left signal only and after some few bars the right signals comes in gradually using the expression pedal. Do you think is this achievable with the TMP ?
    Thanks dude

    • @DougBsDigitalDen
      @DougBsDigitalDen  5 месяцев назад

      Wow, good question. Let me do some research and get back to you, because I think this can be done. Are you looking to use the expression pedal just to switch between the top and bottom path, or do you also want it so the top path is only heard on the left side, and the bottom path is only heard on the right? So you'd be panning your signal as you change paths? That might be trickier, so let me know how you'd like it to work.

    Doug try a faster taper speed for the swells that may help… My problem is I am not getting global volume from preset to preset… Eg if I lower volume with Fender mission EP (expression pedal) on a preset to blend with the band and switch to next preset the volume jumps to 100% with EP halfway and no control until I push it all the way to the toe to gain control of the volume. Is there a work around this with the Fender mission pedal???

    Hi!
    Can I use the Mission Engineering EP1-KP-BK (version without the spring) instead of the SP1-TMP? Specifications seem to be the same, TRS for the Expression Pedal and TS for the Toe Switch. Also both have 10K Ω Linear potentiometers. I don't know if the switch makes a difference, EP1-KP-BK has a momentary switch, I can't find any information which switch is in the SP1-TMP, momentary or latching (would it make a difference, though?)... The EP1-KP-BK is 50 bucks cheaper and the SP1-TMP is out of stock everywhere at the moment anyway, that's why I'm asking... 😉

    • @DougBsDigitalDen
      @DougBsDigitalDen  8 месяцев назад

      Hi - I did a little research, and the SP1-TMP has a latching toe switch. Sorry!

    • @guesswho5150
      @guesswho5150 8 месяцев назад

      So I ordered a 3PDT switch, put it in the EP1-KP and it works fine. All you have to do is solder the momentary switch out, solder the two wires on the 3PDT switch (one on one of the middle pins and one on one of the outer ones, for example 7 and 8 or 8 and 9 [...]) and you're done.

      Thanks for watching! Are you using the Fender expression pedal? If so, make sure that you are using a TRS cable for expression and a TS cable for the toe switch. Then watch the video again to make sure that you're setting it up correctly. Hope this helps!

    Does it work with a Ernie Ball VP Volume Pedal? I am trying to use mine, w/ TRS cable, but it is not fully adjusting the position. Anything I am doing wrong perhaps?

    • @DougBsDigitalDen
      @DougBsDigitalDen  6 месяцев назад

      Fabio - I had replied to you, but then it disappeared. Your pedal is an analog volume pedal only; it's not an expression pedal as well. So if you plug your guitar into it, and then connect it to the TMP's Instrument jack, it should work as a volume pedal with no problems. But if you try to connect it to one of the expression pedal jacks - even with a TRS cable - it won't work. Hope this helps!

    • @DougBsDigitalDen
      @DougBsDigitalDen  11 месяцев назад

      I'm not sure. But the cable you should use is just your basic guitar or patch cable. If you don't have a spare I guess you could try a TRS and see if it works. Thanks for watching!

    • @DougBsDigitalDen
      @DougBsDigitalDen  2 месяца назад

      You’ll need a TRS cable and a standard guitar cable (TS). If you look on the bottom of the pedal, it tells you which jack is for EXP and which jack is for TOE. Plug one end of the TRS cable into the EXP jack on the pedal, and the other end into the EXP1 jack on the TMP. Plug one end of the standard guitar cable into the TOE jack on the pedal, and the other end into the TOE SW jack on the TMP.

    Hi Thanks for the information. I was wondering if I can use my Boss Ev30 as a volume pedal and a wah in the same chain.
    Thanks again

    • @DougBsDigitalDen
      @DougBsDigitalDen  10 месяцев назад

      Technically no. The EV30 uses TRS outputs on both jacks, while the TMP needs to see one TRS and one TS. Also, the TMP uses the toe switch to switch from volume to wah, and the EV30 doesn't have a toe switch. However, as an alternative you might be able to use a footswitch on the TMP to toggle back and forth between the volume and wah blocks, and you would only need 1 TRS cable to go from OUT1 on your pedal into the TMP. Let me know how it works out for you.

    • @DougBsDigitalDen
      @DougBsDigitalDen  6 месяцев назад

      I don't think so. It looks like that pedal was designed for specific Fender amps. You just use a regular 1/4" cable to connect it, right? The TMP requires a TRS cable for the expression pedal connection.

      Yes, TRS would suffice for either wah or volume, but if you're using it for wah you'll need to use 1 of your footswitches to turn the wah on and off, as the TM Pro doesn't have auto-detect (yet).
