@@UrbanistExploringCities Not sure. I believe she just weaves it for Harris Tweed and then they disperse it out. Loads of folks up there weave for the company out of their homes. It's so cool how the company isn't just Scottish owned but it's genuinely Scottish made in the highlands and isles specifically. Glad you got to visit Scotland!!
I think he said "Fill it with water, spin it up to the right temperature then pour the dye in". I'm Scottish and even we have trouble with accents from the Highlands and Islands.

My daughter just returned from a fortnight in Scotland, loved it, especially the Hermitage. If you stay there through winter you’ll know how to use scarf.
I bought a pedal/power loom recently (only 500 pound sterling in India) as well as 30kg of wool yarn. 49" width should be more than enough to make a nice few coats. It only makes 30 yards a day (12 hour shift) but that's plenty for this cold Indian lad.

When they go home and blow their nose-a blanket comes out! I know because I worked in a blue jean factory one summer and I would get blue jean boogies every day! so gross!
LOL I have the same problem when working in my little shop! I do a lot of wood and metal projects and sometimes when I blow my nose at the end of the day I have sawdust colored boogers lol! I'm usually pretty good about wearing a mask when I need to but sometimes I just say screw it if I'm doing a quick cut or using the drill press and having to switch bits out every 2 seconds

I just got a pair of New Balance 1500’s and they use Harris tweed in them. So cool to see the inside of the factory. Safe travels.
