He is delightful! So full of life and knowledge. I’m so happy there are places in the world where these ancient arts are kept alive. His items are beautiful and unique. No artist can ask for more than that🐝🤗❤️
Very interesting and brings back memories of the things I have made from bone, horn, and antler in the past: salt horns, powder horns, blowing horns, powder measures, percussion cap containers, knife handles, knife handle scales, flint knapping tools, etc. I really enjoyed this video.
Sir your language is a mixture of ARABIAN & PERSIAN languages. I HAVE NO WORDS TO APPRECIATE YOUR TALENT. IN OUR INDIA ALL HANDICRAFTS HAVE BREATH THEIR LAST.
This is one of the most interesting things I have ever found on RUclips. It would be a disgrace to society if the work that he does should stop the day he's laid to rest! Absolutely amazing!
Also there is a lot of traditional bone carving that still goes on in India the process is very similar but the art is different check it out if you get a chance
Boy o boy...the next time I make beef broth, or Osso Bucco..the marrow will be consumed, AND the bones made into something. He does the same to antler Bovine and goat. I can't wait to start !!!
i know Im asking randomly but does anybody know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost my login password. I would love any assistance you can give me!
@Musa Alonso Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im trying it out now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I could t understand a lick of what he said but I could tell he was speaking with heart as a man who truly enjoys what he does. People won't make their own machines like that to do something they do not enjoy. Trust me I love blacksmithing and most of my tools and jigs are homemade
I forgot to mention that he has value added to things usually thrown away...discarded. as a child his sources of free materials assisted his cottage industry. Good on him for keeping his craft alive. These products reflect the value that locals and tourists place upon using what you have to do a job. A total pleasure seeing this video.
Many have said that cow bones are the best. EVERY time a cow drops on a mates farm it's bundled up for veterinary swabs to be taken...then hauled to a circus retirement home for very old Lions, Tigers, Panther, ..they watch through wire fencing as he drives in...the silence is deafing...the females who butcher the carcass are readying themselves...the did of sharpening the butchering knives on steel set off the roaring....they know what's coming...meaty bones..my friend leaves with the gladening thoughts that his buttocks are still intact. Unlike Bessie. I might stop in with a BIG bag of bones...to trade for some chewed upon one's.
I use bones and antlers to make powder measures and knife handles I make powder horns out of cow horns …The best horns come from dairy cow breeds and not that easy to find
Some time back I studied some Viking artifacts and what always strike me is they always have lots of these lovely bone combs. Think of a Viking and you will think of lots of hair, they loved their hair and their combs. I have a beard so I looked online and found this wonderful little bone comb. Its really cool, no way I will ever use a plastic comb again, thats way to boring. I loved to see how you made these bone combs and the other thing too. A really good video.
I wanna make two tanto with handles made out of my dad's femur bones with griffins and dragons carved on one and the incredible hulk and the silver surfer carved on the other
After a serious motorbike accident, the surgeon had to remove my femur bone. I got a titanium rod in my leg now. Forgot to ask the surgeon to give me my bone back.
@@jacksongraydon2503 I have done a lot of bone carving, mostly cow bone. In my experience, boiling the bone makes it brittle. I soak it in warm detergent for a day or so, and then scrape it. It doesn’t smell.

Keeping the old arts alive. Much respect, Mr. Bonecarver.

He actually mentions the bones add up more money to him than the cow as meat.

that bone and horn dust is bound to be bad for your lungs.
