My niece lives in Luxemburg and I have visited her twice. It is a beautiful country. It is also a financial center and a lot of people commute from neighboring countries to work there as the salaries are high. The second time I went there, we visited the historic German city of Trier which is only about 30 miles from Luxemburg.

I have experienced free public transport in Denver and Salt Lake City in the US but that free transportation is limited only with in the down town area. Once that area is crossed it becomes chargeable.
There are beggers on Luxembourg streets too was not the case a decade back. Windham castle is amazing.

I stay in the UK. The trams are really great but I have seen beautiful trams in Edinburgh as well. And the way of opening the doors is almost same all over Europe
