  • The large build area and super quick build times make the Nova Bene4 Mono a fantastic printer at a budget price. Unfortunately, the Novamaker software falls behind other options.

The excellent LYCHEE Slicer now fully supports the NOVA3D BENE4 Mono, without any plugin, so this printer jumps to the top of the list.

    1) The build plate for the Bene4 Mono is now textured, great adhesion and easy removal. I also use a WhamBam Plate, after printing a 2.5mm "zero (bottom detector) extender", works great too.
    2) The software is improved, and Lychee Slicer fully supports the Bene4 Mono too.
    3) The accuracy and detail is stunning with this printer.

You'll get quicker curing if you line your shoe box with foil first and place the lights over that. UV comes at your model from almost all directions at once =) Great review.

you could use novamaker/lychee/chitubox plugin for all the nova3d printer now.

13:06 This is similar to the Longer 3D printer I reviewed. It uses its own proprietary software that is terrible. However, they have also now released a plugin for ChiTuBox that will allow you to use that and save out the Longer file type. If your plugin isn't working what you can do is load into ChiTuBox, do the hollowing and supports, then save it out as an STL and slice it in the other program.

You forgot to mention the fep sheets are proprietary also as they are a plastic moulded housing. However there are plans out there for 3d printed ones that work great. Thanks for the video mate.

9:43 I prefer to put mine in some water in the sun but when I can't I made a curing oven from an empty paint can, lined with alluminum tape and then LEDs. You can make one for under $20 USD.

1:56 Ironically the printer I currently have in for review came with sandpaper to scratch up the build plate.

5:22 This is how most of them work. Though most do not come pre-leveled.

I've never had any luck printing in washable resin,it's a lot harder to work with and I'd absolutely recommend normal resin first.

@@MakeUseOf I've got it printing but it takes 3prints with nothing on it. then on the 4 it works great do I need to put longer settings on the slicer for the resin to get warmer mike

This has some really clever features, but it's competing against printers that are much cheaper.
