I believe it is possible to form a kind of leaves if in the 4 times we do the sequence for the stem on the second time we change for green, white and green, and continue with our green, white, white the two other times. I will try this and update. Thanks for your time @KellyCasanova
Hi Kelly I like the method you’ve used to write the sequence for the tulips because I can use the pattern on a four shaft loom using three shafts, as well as my RH loom. Is it possible to do that with your hearts trees and rain deer? Thank you. 😊
Those videos use a different technique of picking up in front of the heddle on plain weave threading, so if you wanted it just the same you would also pick up in front of your reed. If you've seen the Russians weaving branoe on a floor loom, they are still picking up in front of the reed.
The weaving is very basic. Similar to brocading over a background plain weave. The secret is how the ends are threaded in the heedles, and that is not shown. It would be very useful if the lesson begin with this subject. Thank you.
+Susan Southward You've stumped me, I haven't woven them in reverse! I wonder if it would work if you simply worked the pattern from bottom to top instead of top to bottom? Something to experiment with perhaps?
+Robyn Becker The beater came with a little children's fame loom I bought for one of my girls. You can try using a fork or wide toothed comb or otherwise purchase a beater from a weaving supplies shop.
kelly they are lovely, I have done some krokbragd in the past but i forgot one detail : when you pick up threads with sticks do you have the heddle down?
You can cut the green ends off and tuck them into the next shed, or if you want to carry the green up the selvedge, you just go around it with the weft you are using so that it is encased against the selvedge (if that makes sense?!)
@@KellyCasanova Yes, entirely! I noticed that you left tails when I watched another of your videos. Makes perfect sense when you're working with multiple colours. I usually carry the thread along the selvedge if I'm only working with two colours.
Hi there, I have quite a few beginners videos, particularly in the tote bag series, there are a lot of beginner's videos. I also have a weaving lessons channel for all levels - ruclips.net/channel/UCaGyAsQ7Dg2GdAefkMwWJGw
I cannot find the notes. when i click on more the selections are , Report, Transcript, Statistics, add translation. I tride them all and only transcription gives your comments as you proceed thru lesson but it only prints the few comments on the screen, first 8 or 9 then all the questions. Shat did i miss.
These are the notes I posted under the video- Pick up sequence: Stick A - 1 up, 1 down Stick B (or heddle rod)- 1 down, 1 up Weaving shed sequence - 1- Up and pick up stick A forward 2- Up and pick up stick B forward (or heddle rod) 3- Down Weaving and colour sequence - * "W" stands for white * "G" stands for green * "R" stands for red You can change these colours according to your preferences. Steps: 1. WWW X 1 2. GWW X 4 3. RWR X 3 4. WWW X 1
I think I may add a couple of rows of tulips to my kitchen towels!! So sweet
+donna martin I'd love to see this pattern on kitchen towels :)
I've only been weaving for about three weeks now but have learned so much from watching your videos. Thanks so much Kelly.
+Sandra Norman That is awesome, thanks so much for your feedback!
Love this Kelly ! Been spending the afternoon watching your videos and learning. Love your classes too. Thank you !
Thanks Ellen :)
Thanks so much for this video. I'm just learning and I've found your videos to be some of the best out there: very clear and articulate. Thanks!
So lovely. Your tulips are delightful
Thank you Linda, I hope you give it a try too :)

It's so fun experimenting to see what you can come up with, hope it works out for you!

I really enjoy your videos, thank you so much for sharing.
+Ellen Black So happy to hear it, thank you!

I would like this for tea towels, however, how do I do this on the other end? How would I reverse the tulips?
+Susan Southward You've stumped me, I haven't woven them in reverse! I wonder if it would work if you simply worked the pattern from bottom to top instead of top to bottom? Something to experiment with perhaps?
LOL I don't know either
Another wonderful video. Where did you purchase your beater? Thank you
+Robyn Becker The beater came with a little children's fame loom I bought for one of my girls. You can try using a fork or wide toothed comb or otherwise purchase a beater from a weaving supplies shop.
The pattern below the tulips looks like Easter eggs, that's pretty too did you do a vid on that?
+donna martin Here is the video for that pattern: ruclips.net/video/A8OfPeAj-gw/видео.html
I really like this!
+Joyce Gentile I hope you give it a go :)
kelly they are lovely, I have done some krokbragd in the past but i forgot one detail : when you pick up threads with sticks do you have the heddle down?
While you are weaving the red petals, how are you carrying the unused green thread along the left selvedge?
You can cut the green ends off and tuck them into the next shed, or if you want to carry the green up the selvedge, you just go around it with the weft you are using so that it is encased against the selvedge (if that makes sense?!)

I often leave tails when I'm just sampling or demonstrating. I'm lazy like that 🙊
When you bring your pick up stick A forward is it flat against the heddle or turned up?
The heddle is up and pick up stick forward and flat. It's explained more thoroughly in the beginner's video ruclips.net/video/A8OfPeAj-gw/видео.html
Hi! I just see your videos, do have one of them for beginners ?or how you start this job? Thank you so much

just might do just that some day

so beautiful! nice, great tutorial, thank you so much!
Thank you!
May I ask what the reed size you’re using?
From memory it was a 7.5 dent 😊
Haces unas maravillosos puntos.
Muchas gracias!
Hi Kelly when you start the pattern is the heddle in the rest position
Heddle is down for pick up :)
Ok thanks
They DO look like tulips! How fun is that? :-D
It's pretty cool 😄
How would one do this on a 4 shaft loom
It's a 3 shaft pattern with threading of 1,2,3,2. Then you weave shafts 1, 2 and 3.
You referred to notes. Can you provide a link? Thanks again.
+Robyn Becker If you can't see the notes, click on "See more" underneath the video, the notes will expand out :)
Where would I find the tulip pattern and sheep please
The sequence for the tulips is underneath the video. I don't have a video for sheep.
no muestra lo mas importante... los cuadros que hacen subir y bajar los hilos de la urdimbre para que se haga el dibujo!!!
