It has been announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that from the year 2022 every year 26 December will be celebrated as Veer Bal Diwas to pay tribute to the courage of the four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Sahib Ji who attained martyrdom in the 17th century.
Gobind Singh had four sons -Sahibzada Ajit Singh, Jujhar Singh, Zorawar Singh, and Fateh Singh. All four of his sons were executed by Mughal forces before the age of 19 because they protested against Mughals for religious persecution of Indians. Martyrdom of Chaar Sahibzaade is considered as a significant moment in the Sikh history.

Aj tak jitne bhi "veer" hue hai india me uhhone kabhi sahidi nhi pratap ki aur yaha to shahidi dada (Guru Tegh Bahadur ji) aur pardada (Guru Arjan dev ji) se reet chali a rahi hai . Baki ek aur baat , sikh kabhi bhi guru gobind singh ke farzando ko veer nhi kahte hai balki sahabzaade kahte hai. Hindi me yeh ek nhi concept jisko ki accept karna hoga agar sab ke vikas ki baat karte ho to.
