  • In this video, I will explain how to get to the beaches in Terres Basses, St. Martin. These beaches include Baie Longue Beach, Baie Rouge Beach, and Plum Bay Beach on the French Side of St. Martin.
Terres Basses Residences in Saint Martin is a security guard gated residential community with two beaches. There are numerous villas and vacation rentals within the community. But the best aspects are the two beaches called Plum Bay and Baie Longue Beach. These beaches are accessible to the public and each have free public parking lot.
When you enter the gate at Terres Basses, you'll need to inform the security guards you are going to the beaches. They will allow you in and you're free to drive to them.
Both beaches offer clean and natural sand. Baie Longue is a lot bigger and wider than Plum Bay but both beaches are worth seeing while visiting Terres Basses.
The additional beach in Terres Basses is outside of the residential area and has easy access for the public including a free parking lot. This beach is called Baie Rouge and is one of my favorites on the island. There's always enough room to spread out, but you'll also most likely never be alone here. The sand is thick and tough to walk through. But it's soft and absolutely amazing.
So those are the three major beaches of Terres Basses, St. Martin. They are all worth visiting and seeing the differences of. Whether it's the location from the sunset or the different sand, and even some are easier to swim in than others depending on the year.

We have spent many afternoons at Baie Longue beach, does it ever get hot in the sun there, usually hardly anyone is on the beach. Baie Rouge is an amazing beach, awesome swimming with great sunset views.

@@philphriday Been there and other islands many times. Tourists jack up beaches....drinking, food wrappers, cigarette butts and more. Gross. Maybe you drive an ice cream truck and digging up business? I'm sure the residents don't appreciate your 'you can, and you should" blah blah blah. Let the tourists look at the airplanes and leave it at that. Sheesh, get a job already!!!

@@domenicv7962 you’re right. People shouldn’t explore or find new public locations. We should all just stick to the same thing. Thank you for reminding me of that. How could I ever think otherwise.

@@philphriday My opinion of what you are doing; You have no respect for the people in those neighborhoods. Ever ask any of them how they feel toward you blabbing? Oh, I saw no restrooms....no doubt adults and kids will be peeing by their cars in the parking areas.....real nice. It's people like you who can't stand to see any little crevice or nook and cranny left alone,,,. just expose it all. When you said the people of this neighborhood try to discourage folks from coming in at the entrance, you just blew that down.... like I said, no respect. ZERO !!! You must be making a couple of bucks from your little posts.... Oh well.
