I actually like pixel's aspect ratio as it gives a feel of compact phone in cover display as well as a tablet like big screen for content consumption in unfolded condition.
Don't know about pixel or samsung fold phones.... But my experience with the pixel 6a has been really, really awesome! And obviously this is a feedback from a very neutral user like me(common public) who will not unnecessarily take sides for any company.... For photography I will easily say that this is truly one of the best mobiles under 30,000/- bracket! The hype is true after all. And no, overheating issues are not that bothering really. They are only bothering for the people who use their mobile irresponsibly and unnecessarily all day long..... And yes, it's battery life is pretty average. Not the best out there, and one might find other mobiles having better battery life. But still it has got a pretty decent battery life to last one day before recharging, if one uses it sensibly. Other than that pixel phones are never intended for online games and things like that. And yes, the software optimisation, haptic feedback and all of this phone is just top-notch!

Tensor G2 is made by Samsung itself and their SoC manufacturing is not so great in terms of efficiency overall, heat management and power figures and not even lithography, which Google has to bear. (One of the reasons why Samsung doesn't even use its own Exynos Chips in their Flagships). Though I'm not really a Google fan, but neither I'm a Samsung fan. I think nobody can beat TSMC in Chip Manufacturing, as of now, and Thus many companies including AMD, Apple, ARM, Broadcom, Marvell, MediaTek, Qualcomm and Nvidia, as well as small companies like HiSilicon and UNISOC prefer TSMC to manufacture their chips.

I had this 14 Pro Max (and uske pehle I had 11 Pro) along with an Android cuz I can’t part away from Android. Right now I have Pixel 6a and my 14 Pro Max has been taken away by my sis and she gave me her (weird looking purple) iPhone 12 and that’s actually very good as well cuz it has the same Pro chip of that year. The reason I let her take my 14 Pro Max was that I knew I’ll get to buy 15 Pro Max or Ultra this year since I’m moving abroad for my higher education (once again) :p But the thing is that I’m way too attracted to this Pixel Fold and even though this is 1st Gen, I kinda feel that it’s wise to wait for the 2nd Gen Pixel Fold next year or later cuz it’ll be kinda perfect then with whatever drawbacks it has got right now. So I’m into this weird situation right now that whether I should buy the 15 Pro this year or not cuz then I wanna go with Fold this year but then I’m also thinking ki 15 Pro le lete h and then I’ll buy Fold next year or probably later cuz I can’t buy both of them together right now :p It’s kinda confusing for me for now 😅
I think comparing G2 and sd 8g2 is like comparing Appels and Oranges. The use cases are different for 2 processors. G2 is optimized for AI applications and samsung sd 8g2 is completely not. Just sharing my opinion
it is engineering , at the near end the phone flap should close otherwise sometimes user attempts to close and assumes closed however it is not closed , it may lead to accidental damages. Long aspect ratio helps in productivity especially in reading and less scrolling.

Pixel fold needs improvement but that is the more practical option in terms of screen size and phone thickness after folding.
