    My grandfather had a '65 Montclair, I drove it often as a youth. One thing I always remember was how smooth the engine was, like silk, no vibrations at all. These cars had a lot of ridges so were a challenge to wax, the color was similar to this, a beautiful rich turquoise blue. Thanks for the memories.

    I have the same car with a 352ci V8 automatic. and tilt wheel. Had it for 50 years now.

    Yes, they were big cars. That had the power when needed. The car's in great shape. However, the a/c unit appeears to be a dealer installed factory accessory. I recollect, factory installed for '66 the a/c had a combination control on the dashboard with vents intergrated into the dashboard..

    I have a 65 Montclair code H 390 2 V. Merc-o-matic Factory A/C ice cold. great car! everything still works. Made in U.S.A.

    It has a growl to it, when you put your foot down! NO GUFF! People who drove those cars had NO TIME for something like a 1965 VW with 40hp that had trouble doing 60mph! NO NO NO!!!!! a 390 with 4bbls and 300 HP! That thing would cruise at 100mph and you could still hit the kick down! Now a days Toyota and Honda are making a monkey out of Ford! better cars and more reliable!
