Ya people forget that haki was a thing already since before skypiea, but Oda either didn't know how he wanted to portray it(which I heavily doubt since he was able to portray it perfectly immediately after timeskip which is btw only 3 weks after a lil break oda had around 2010) or that luffy at the time couldn't see it so we shouldn't be able to either.

correct me if I am wrong, white beard was actually protecting ace by taking him in his crew from the world government, white beard already knew that ace was roger's son. If ace didn't join white beard pirates, the admirals would be after him, he refused to join the warlords, and because of Roger, he would be chased by the entire world government,so by becoming a member of white beard pirates he was protected under his name

Whitebeard wanted to slowly mature ace, and give him to place of pirate king slowly. most cases, you'd need to go to extremes to reach Yonko lvl / pirate king level(which is what he was already doing/ what luiffy is doing) and since you put yourself at risk, whitebeard was definitely taking his time developing his skills, but that would make it a slow process.

The funny thing is I always thought of the reason author killed Ace was because Whitebeard had to die for the story to progress. And with Whitebeard death there is no viable story route for Ace to live because he as a character is kind of under developed at that time.

I think Luffy and Ace would just arrive at Laugh Tale together and duke it out one on one there. That's more believable than the Davy Back Fight scenario.
One single Davy Back Fight between both crews: Ace & Luffy fight each other with Sea Stone bracelets nullifying their powers. Ace would definitely want to see if Luffy is stronger and Luffy would definitely want to fight Ace in a "fair" fight

Shit well Roger was able to live that long, and imo it was Luffys plot armor that killed off Ace, since Ace would’ve been fine if he didn’t step in to shield Luffy, and I also said that without Luffy Ace would be the MC since he had his own novel and everything, and he also has Good DF, Conquerors, OP Bloodline, he had all the requirements to be a MC like Luffy
@@scaryramling1845 true about Ace being MC part but his plot armour is pretty trash. Went to chase after blackbeard and ended up imprisoned by the marines who found out his bloodline. Mother died because of his amazing plot armour. His armour was so powerful that his father, the great pirate king, was unable to even see him.

From what I have gathered WB never intended to return from Marineford, he was ready to let Marco and Ace take the reins of the crew - and he wanted to go out with a bang before letting his crew see him truly weak.
Sabos memory would eventually return, Dragon is Luffys father and sooner or later they would meet - and I think that would be enough to trigger shit.
3D2Y really depends on how was Ace saved, if Shanks came a bit earlier and saved them both - Luffy and Ace could figure out they are not strong enough and could both train with Rayleight (Ace as he wouldnt now be capitan/first mate of a crew that basically has a huge target on their back with WB dead and Luffy because he saw that he is basically a fodder for top tier fighters). I am sure Rayleight would be more than happy to take son of Roger into his care, considering how much Roger had influence on his life Ace is basically his nephew.
I think much would change still, even if Luffy would train with Rayleight either way - he would not have this pain and desperation to get this much stronger - so it is possible that he is considerably weaker now. I am not sure what happens to reamining WB pirates vs blackbeard pirates war, maybe it never happens and thus WB pirates never go into hiding. Garp was furious when Ace died and I am guessing that made him retire (I adming my memory is getting bit fuzzy) - so maybe he still doesnt retire if Ace is alive and can be called a traitor because he just stood and watched how Marines lose the war (while he still is one of their greatest weapons) and because of his relations to Luffy (who is seen as a person who freed Ace, thus is seen as much of a problem as Yonkos),.....
I cant even get to the bottom of how many small things change, that was a battle that certainly marked an era of OPverse - and it was stated from the start that who wins that battle is justice. And outcome of that battle was basically:
Ace dies - Marines win
Ace lives- WB fleet wins
Who knows how many small things would change, maybe Akainu doesnt become fleet admiral as Marines start to understand that they are not that much stronger than Yonko crews and that while that holds true "Absolute justice" cant work, if Ace is alive when Shanks comes to Marineford, it is entirely possible that Shanks just helps WB crew in fight and they go on to ruin Marines which leads to BB never getting WBs fruit,........
Possibilities are basically limitless

Best way to make Ace stronger would be if Ace lied to Garp about wanting to become a Marine and get better training and learning the world better. Then he'd leave to become a Pirate, get the Flame Fruit, Ace Novels, but actually able to free Oden and have her join his crew. They constantly fight to get stronger, and decided to accept being a Warlord when he gets the invite and starts to look after Rogers old crew to train his own better.

@@maxlee8780 I think that Ace & Luffy being sons of Roger & Dragon were the main reasons he didn't want to train them, let alone stay with him. Pretty sure he could've gotten permission, or just ignored orders, to have them on his ship as he'd train them personally. I'm also pretty sure the Marines also had at least some teens forced to join by their parents for also wanting to be Pirates and the Navy just gave them the discipline to be better, so Ace & Luffy saying they're going to be Pirates wouldn't have been taken seriously

There is no reason why he couldn't train them more than he did. He would have been even more enthusiastic to train them.
@@maxlee8780 the only reason he trained Luffy is because IT'S HIS GRANDSON, same with him training Ace. He trained them enough that they could get stronger on their own, and Luffy enough to control his DF. Also, Sengoku has shown every single time that his loyalty is to the Marines, and was ready to fight Garp when he came up on the execution platform. Garps an active Marine, he'd definitely come across various Pirates, and the boys would definitely start a stowaway running gag, Luffy being the Undisputed MC Hostage, and Ace constantly running into danger. Again, knowing all the big shots in the WG, they'd start to question who the parents are and would definitely try to use them as examples to children of Pirates or bait for Dragon

Blackbeard also wouldn’t have his additions from Impel Down. If he never becomes a warlord he never gets that access. Marineford doesn’t give him the chance to use the chaos of the war. In fact if he does try Impel Down he might die at the wardens hands. It was Shiryu, who gave him the antidote to the poison. If Shiryu isn’t released he can’t help Blackbeard.

I am so convinced that long ring long land is much more important than it seems, Oda doesn't just put things there for jokes only... I think it's possible that Blackbeard could choose to do a davy back fight against the strawhats for Robin instead of fighting them, after all he does tend to avoid a clash if he knows he can't win for sure
maybe but i don’t think Blackbeard really needs Robin since he kidnapped pudding already who could read poneglyphs, but then again Robin had already translated the other poneglyphs so maybe she’s useful for that
I think a better point in "time" to start that hipotesis is if Ace met Rayleigh at Shabody (unlike the light noble, in which ace is off to have fun while Duece going to coat the ship), and he (Reyleigh) told him what Roger was really like and the resson why he left him (Ace) behind.
Ace denies it, but after hearing from Yamato in Onigashima that his father and Luffy has the same dream, he understand that he need to get stronger so he can help Luffy to become the king.
Ace continues to meet Jimbe, after fighting for a few days with an endlless smile on their faces, they ecnolleging each other.
Jimbe teach Ace more about Haki, and they head back to Onigashima to free Yamato from his chains to make him their nakma. On Onigashima they face King the Wild Fire (vs Ace), Jack (vs Yamato), and Who's Who (vs Jimbe), after a rough win they flee Wano before Kaido is back.
In that point the Spade Pirates are super strong and recognazied crew.
After Kaido hears that Jimbe Ace with his shanenigans on Onigashima, Kaido move to attack Fishman Island.
Their he face WhiteBeard that came to protect his teritory.
WB & ACE Takeing down Kaido, and Ace is reconsized as a Yunko!

We know that one of the gorosei, Ju Peter is obsessed about capturing Nico Robin, we don't know why, because he has a connection to Robin or whatsoever but the wg thinks of Robin as a huge threat because she can read poneglyphs and is pretty dangerous as an individual. A second reason is you could have just had Ace join Luffy and have survived when White beard died being the pirate king does that mean that you have weeked maximum potential that is only a goal and title and it would have been more satisfying if he wanted Luffy to become the pirate king.

Ace was an interesting character. Because his potential was so much more than just commander of the Emperor Pirate. But, he couldn't achieve such a level of power because he settled with Whitebeard. He found his family and that's where he lost his Will to get stronger. I mean, he would have to get stronger but Will is something that affects the people of the One Piece world directly. Crocodile lost to Luffy because he lost his Will, Moria lost to Luffy because he lost his Will, and Golden Lion lost to Luffy because of his Will. The only person who didn't lose to Luffy based on his Will would be the main villain of the 3d2y movie. Because Haki is the manifestation of your Willpower. The entire purpose of introducing Haki was to let characters inflict their Will upon others. Why were the four emperors so strong? Why is Mihawk the world's greatest swordsman? Why are the admirals so freaking strong? Because they believe in themselves. They believe in their strength. Despite having disadvantages, they won't back down from a battle or use any cheap method to win. These people have confidence in their strength and their Haki will never get weaker. The same can't be said for Ace. His Will to become the next Pirate King disappeared the moment he joined Whitebeard Pirates, which effectively gave a huge blow to his Haki. He was still a monster with his devil fruit and Haki that he needed to use in the New World. But, there was no major improvement.

Ohara, i have a crazy theory, what if luffys mom is imu? as we know sanjis mom name means sky and zoros moms name mean earth, 2/3 places, and imu backwards is umi, which means sea, that can give us a part of earth for all of them as they are all related!
