Excellent conversation..very well thought out. The taxpayers of Louisiana should be outraged that this law was enacted, it is going to cost them dearly. So Louisiana doesn't have better things they should be spending their tax dollars on then defending this lawsuit? This is probably going to take a few years to work itself through the courts...costing the taxpayers money that should be spend on educating the citizens about the constitution? This is yet another example of Republicans cutting their noses off to spite their faces..makes no sense to me.
The Jessica Alquist case I discuss cost the state $150,000 a decade or more ago and it was just a trial with no appeal about a tiny issue. The LA case is massive.
@@thecrossexaminer6665 Also how many lawsuits have these Red states had to defend when it comes to abortion and how much has that cost the taxpayers of that state, it is mind blowing. I do not mind paying taxes because it is you hope for the betterment of society. Using my tax dollars to defend these lawsuits of stupidity is not for the betterment of society. It makes me sad..
We can have schools that maintain the culture of the majority without offending the minority. I find it hard to believe a school requires attendance at a "good news club." I do think honesty is a good moral standard we have clearly lost. Perhaps some people have formed a free afterschool program for working moms? Working mothers are sometimes the result of cultural changes that have not been good for children. If this is the only free option available, a mother can be grateful, or try to find someone else willing to care for her children without charge. Maybe theres a government benefit available. Just raise to cost for taxpayers.
