- All Episodes from the Mini Series: John Lasseter Talks Toys - where the director of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 provides us with some details of the various figures as well as some trivia when coming up with their looks, names and personalities!
I remember when these came out in stores, there was such a vibe around that time because you had Toy Story 3 coming out and the Merchandise and toys was so high in quality. I don't know whether it's just me being nostalgic but those days where just the best! I miss Mr Pixar being involved with the series too.
It's so heartwarming when he says that they come alive when you're not around

toy story 5 is coming so they probably will or some new variation, only thing is that Lasseter wouldn't be involved. I hope if they do a new rendition of buzz they include at least ball jointed wrists.

Antonio Cool Guy they said it in an old interview I had in a magazine that came out when Toy Story 2 was released. I've been looking for different places where they would confirm it but most of the time they just deny it
He only said he "bought it for Andy", he didn't say it was his toy first.

I assume that Buzz's helmet only closes completely when he comes to life only, but the humans don't seem to notice about the difference, yeah... pretty much. It's just my quessing theory.
They did good to make replicas of the characters of the film. I still think they can do alittle better on accuracy of buzz, woody, RC, the Aliens, and mr potatoe head.
I love them regardless hopefully one day they won’t need to release them in target all the time when they release another Toystory film.

wow, mr potato head was gonna be a cloud logo
Love how they said we can "do better" when every single toy has 5 or more issues with it, Buzz has small wings, no retractable helmet, ratchety joints, wrong laser sound, weak plastic helmet, no karate chop action, no poseble thumbs, no ball jointed wrists, wrong facial expression and then Woody has a short pull string, isn't even voiced by Tom Hanks, Has closed hands , wrong facial expression, missing phrase "sombody's poisoned the water hole" , has a lot of details wrong such as medal and belt being plain and lacking a lot of detail that he had in the movie, the rest have issues such as RC no functioning properly like a remote control car which is the WHOLE POINT OF RC, IT'S LITERALLY HIS NAME "REMOTE CONTROLLED", Potato head has a closed up back and has wiring, Rex moves his head for some reason and is electrical, aliens don't squeek and are made from very hard plastic, Finally the packaging was rubbish and wasn't movie accurate at all, Buzz's box is far to fat and square looking, Woody's box is far to wide when it should be tall and thin, half of Rex is coming out of the box? this whole collection was a mess and didn't fully give us what we fans wanted and to top it all off they discontinued the good sets which was Wave 1 so now it's impossible to get Potato head, Rex and RC without spending like 400$ on each and overall reduced and made each Toy worse with each new wave I'm very disappointed in Thinkway they have all the money and resources to give us the most authentic Toys ever since it's literally made by Pixar with JOHN LASSETER HIMSELF not disney and they have no excuse they messed up and we as Toy story fans are disappointed and hope they actually "CAN DO BETTER" in the future.

As awesome as he’s making out these toys to be, he fails to mention some of the inaccuracies with them compared to how they were in the movie. If I wereAs rich as him, I’d put ALL my best effort into making them 100% movie accurate.
Yeah Woody's mouth is open but in the movie it's closed, Buzz's helmet doesn't open and close from the purple buttons on the sides and he doesn't have the karate chop to name a few.

My 2nd cousin had a tsc woody for his 5 year old birthday and I just came to Tampa to visit for his 9th Birthday and I went up to his room and I was snooping around in his closet and I saw his woody it had a red stain of his vest and his hat stitching was kinda broken and his hair with paint not all over but like small details that you could notice and I saw his boot and had his name in his handwriting
