CONTEXT: Forecast was super good! I went for a Hike&Fly to watch the sunrise and then I planned to fly some xc but it took me 6 hours to get airborne. I guess there was a thermal right above take off that was getting fed from both sides (east and west), so strong that it impeded local wind to pass through and define a wind direction. On Take Off I felt almost no wind and the gusts were constantly changing directions. There is very limited space to lay out the glider with many bushes grabbing the lines while you try to get the glider overhead. After 6 hours of frustration i gave on the idea of flying xc and decided to relax for the rest of the day.
