I’m happy you had such a good home birth! I am a labor and delivery nurse in a hospital and mostly only see the bad end of home births
Allahumma Barik. Ma Sha Allah so quick ❤ Eid Mubarak btw. beautiful to hear how simple and casual your birth was.
Very interesting to hear about your experiences in hospital compared to at home. I really wanted to have a home birth (currently nearing 7 months of pregnancy), but I'm in Ireland and home births are not common here and really a hassle to arrange. Also my husband is frightened of me giving birth at home 😂 So I had to compromise. Anyway, this is my first pregnancy and I'm excited for the birth simply because I'm preparing for it. The hypnobirthing course you did is amazing (I bought the book instead of doing the online course) and it really helps to do research on all the types of interventions that are really common (induction especially). I'm glad you had such a positive experience because birth can really be beautiful when you prepare for it.

So, who did issue the child certificate? (unless i missed it from the video)
In the uk you go to the registrar yourself after the birth, even if you give birth in the hospital
Hi Karsen, congratulations on your pregnancy! We love to feature you in a our upcoming documentary on home births. Let us know if you are interested, and how we can get in touch x
Wait ! What you said in the beginning about the midwife going away and possibly not being there when you went into labor. I thought that people paid midwives to be “around” your whole pregnancy until you gave birth? I never did any research since I had a hospital birth but that sounds crazy because it could literally affect your whole birth plan
Yeah it’s because it’s on the NHS, they still have to take holiday leave etc and the two midwives basically had to quickly take leave before the year renewed which fell around my labour. It’s different if you pay for private.
Assalam o alakium sister hope your fine congratulate muslim commiunty
