      However did take a lot of back and forth with my music licensing service as their terms said "cannot edit or mix songs so much that they're unrecognisable", they said DJing with the tracks wasn't okay... Oh the world of creativity 😅

      Yeah it is growing that's for sure ☺ thanks for the advice, I am always trying to optimise my videos, but being a small youtuber in general it does take a while to rank in search results well. If people keep finding my stuff to watch then that's all that matters 😍

    This is so cool man. I just got a Quest 2 64gb. I make beats and dabbled in DJ'n when Dj's were still using Records. My question is how do you get the music to Dj? Or if I have my own beats I suppose i could load those?

    • @camshand
      @camshand  3 года назад +1

      Yeah it awesome, had been a few years since I was in the club's Infront of CDJs, put the Quest on and was instantly thrown back into those memories!
      You can either plug the Quest into your PC and copy your own songs into the music folder or use the built in songs. The ones I use in the video all come in the app, and are great to practice and have some fun with 👍

    this is nice but make the handsets into gloves with controls in the finger tips, would make for a more natural feel while dj-ing..maybe thats a thing already..just seeing this for the first time..been dj-ing drum and bass for 20 years now. this seems like it would be so fun.

    • @camshand
      @camshand  Год назад

      Oh yeah having gloves would make it much more real feeling. It is odd not having tactility, like trying to scratch a platter is weird when you're waving you hand in the air haha. I'd say for beginners buying a modern midi controller to learn with physicals buttons is a good point and supplement it with VR to understand CDJ's for club and event sets. I remember the amount of times I went into the clubs early to practice for hours before a set just to get familiar with CDJ's as there was no way I could afford them for home!

    can i connect my real dj desk to this ? id like to learn and practise in interactive environment using my actual dj desk and a vrheadset. I really desire to become a better DJ. I already do gigs in vrchat but I lack skill in mixing massively different bpm songs and styles.

    • @camshand
      @camshand  Год назад +1

      Don't believe so, that would be mixed reality territory. The Quest Pro headset and soon to be released quest 3 are able to do Mixed Reality but it's up to Devs to create environment tracking. It would be cool though, as I've seen concepts for playing piano and seeing help appear

    How do you put the track you are mixing in, in to your real life headphones, while playing the track that is playing over real life external speakers? Every piece of pc based virtual dj software that exists requires either 2 separate soundcards or a controller with a built in soundcard to do this. so how does tribe do it? I do have 2 soundcards, specifically for this purpose, but does tribe have that functionality??? Thanks!

    • @camshand

      @@daverich2499 yeah you can with the Rift Version, I haven't had to do it but that's how streamers perform. They'll be queueing with their headphones then sending the master out through Twitch :D

      Well the game is pretty much a simulator, so it's more so addressing what it can do, talking to the dev's about future plans and exploring the new possibilities brought to the world of DJing with VR.
      There's other videos out there which will show you what you can do, but they're no real different than watching a tutorial on using CDJ2000's IRL, once you've loaded tracks they function the same.
