I upgraded to the deluxe edition some months ago after having the trade for years. Brilliant, timeless story. Also ive just finished the newly released Top Ten compendium by Moore which is superb and the top ten series isnt spoken about enough when it comes to Moores work. You should check it out.
You're right, that Top Ten work really isn't talked about much and I haven't heard much about it myself, honestly I didn't realise it had been released so I'll definitely have a look into it
If it was in black and white it would be the perfect book, just as it was when I first read V for Vendetta as a serial strip in anthology comic Warrior Magazine. Beautiful deluxe edition, just looks strange to me with colour. David Lloyd art is superb, he's a great artist, V for Vendetta, Night Raven, The Horrorist are some of my favourites. I think V for Vendetta is a great story and David Lloyd for me is the only artist who could have given it life. Best work by Alan Moore? V for Vendetta and probably Saga of the Swamp Thing, neither have diminished over time, still good comics.
I know this is bad but I've somehow never got around to reading Moore's Swamp Thing as of yet... I know I really need to finally get to reading that at some point
@@TheComicBookTrove I wouldnt worry about it, youre lucky its a popular collection and for now enjoying a period in print. So many comicbooks to read, I'm constantly distracted by novels.
Hey bro, sorry if this question seems a bit annoying, but do you plan on reviewing The Incredible Hulk by Peter David Omnibus Vol. 5 some while after it comes out?
They're quite thin but not to the point of it being an issue in my opinion. I don't collect Absolutes so I can't offer a comparison but this is a really nicely designed book if you decide to go for it

Top Ten to me demonstrated Moore's mastery of tone and dialogue, as it has to mix a wide variety into something coherent

Not an annoying question at all, yeah I definitely plan to get that book when I can and I'll be sure to do a review on it!
Is it glossy or matte paper?
It's matte
would you say the paper is thin? I am divided between this and the 2023 absolute edition (this one is HALF THE PRICE!)
