I had an amazing experience as an au-pair back in London in 1998. I was 18 and freshly arrived in august 1998. My first gig I went to was in Anathema @ World’s End in Camden wearing my Silent Enigma T-shirt. As we set opposite the venue before it was even open, eating some fish&chips, the white van closed in. From the window saluting no other than Cavanagh brothers🎉! After the show we spoke about life in general. I have met the guys many different places and countries since. I am 43 now. Loyal since 1995. Met Danny also at the Metal Mania in the crowd after their performance to headbang to other bands playing. I can’t be more greatful!❤
We,l,listening of them since 1994,till now. They are just great..But to be honesty, what they play before ,in 90's,was just brilliant. Now they play different way ,and i understand that ,because they are still amazing. So never forget the rotss guys ,please;)
I remember the first time I heard this song, I was 14, zapping on tv when I found a eyond godlike band performing master melodies, at the end of the video I went 4 a paper to wrote the name, ANATHEMA! it explodes my head
@@26d8 I completely forgot this comment, what a crappy writing I had ahah. Well, long time without listening to Anathema, your comment comes to bring a reminiscence. Especially with the particular weather here; almost winter but a spring breeze blowing through my open window.
It was an accident, Im glad that i turned you back to this great song :), the weather here is pretty cool , feel a cool breeze from the window as well !

Eh, really doubt it, its been so long since they played Doom (Eternity had some traces of it but that was 23 years ago) that I don't think they'd feel comfortable going back. It's a shame, indeed.... Anathema's death-doom material are incredible and while I enjoy some of their later stuff, nothing touches my soul like the first few works

Mindblowingly brilliant. Love the album The Silent Enigma, and this is a highlight from it. Brilliant live rendition.
Best version ever of this grandiose song
Perfect for.....sex, shitting, relaxing, eating, loving, working, fighting, learning......everything. The soundtrack of life itself.

Were they main act? I don't think I've ever seen such a large crowd at a festival for Anathema :O
(saw them at Graspop 2004 for the first time)
I was there thanks for upload

I'm proud, I've been there. It's sad that they changed their playing style
They are still amazing. Ulver did change quite drastically their music, but they are still a top band on the market.
Lo mejor Anathema (Y)

@Bakri13 Vincent, Darren leave the group in 1995
and ''angelica", see the live video
Awesome. It's really a toss-up between this and the LOTR video; this is live, but the other one is very well put together.
Lord of the Rings?

Vincent.
Cavanaugh sounded huge here. I'm sad because they don't record metal anymore, but... If Paradise Lost could back, why not Anathema?
