Man, this is one of the best ES covers I've ever seen. Props on the guitar playing too - this is one of the most haunting and beautiful but equally difficult progressions he ever wrote, I feel.
New Moon means so much to me personally and spiritually. New Moon was the only Elliott Smith album I ever owned as a cd, and it never left my car. It was there when I was at my darkest and saddest rock bottom in this life, and it was there when that rock bottom crumbled away letting me know how endless the abyss beneath me was, and how false any sense of security I developed was. For so long I thought there was a true rock bottom; the lowest of the low point you can go. I trusted that the floor of my rock bottom place in life was solid rock as the name implies, but there's always further to fall. When I reached the happiest times of my entire in life, I would listen to New Moon. I relistened to every song on this album an innumerable amount of times, and I never got of a single song on that beautiful album. New Disaster is one of my favorite songs of all time. And what's crazy is that a lot of these songs were deemed by Elliott to be not worthy of including on his past albums. He saw a lot of these songs as not good enough, in his eyes, to be released officially on any of his albums despite many songs on New Moon having been beautifully written and completed a very long time before his death, years even for some. ---- What a beautiful injection of your own individual style and talent you gave to this beautiful song. Never give up on nurturing and further cultivating your raw instrumental and vocal talent!

Someone on Instagram posted a screenshot of one of his songs from RUclips and I thought he looked like a guy who’d make cool music lol so I screenshot it and didn’t listen to it until a couple years later, but when I did I fell in looove. All his music is so creative and beautiful and I just love learning all my favorite songs and artists on guitar:)
Wish somebody would post a real tab these days instead of making long 20 mon tutorials that aren't close enough and cover videos that are perfect and all, its great playing it yourself instead of seeing how others learned the finger picking the correct chords they have nothing to teach people anymore online. Nobody wants to teach you how, they only want to show they learned it. This took this person weeks maybe even months to get right
