- Todd Tuckey shows you an original "dedicated" (This means this game started its life AS a Golden Axe 2 and was not a "conversion" kit) machine is just terrific condition! Not many were made in this form (the serial number is 968) and used the System 32 PCB board, which was Stereo.
God this brings back memories. I want that machine . It holds a good year of my childhood lol
That’s interesting game, I’d never saw this arcade game, it brings me back the memories.
Gorgeous cabine, never saw it in the Arcades back then, sad...
it's a great hack and slash brawler, which not only recycles the screams ripped from First Blood, but it also uses some screams from the Conan movies (most notably, the amazon's screams are taken from Grace Jones' character in Conan the Destroyer).
I have one of these cabinets. I bought it from a a hotdog restaurant that closed down here in Canada. I believe only 590 cabinets were made and many were later made into other machines.
very nice cab!
Wow, you have the greatest arcade machines...
Thank you!!
This looks great !

Arcade 1-up needs to make this
well that was fast
Well technically Golden Axe 2 is also the game released for the Sega Genesis. :). Very good game as well!
but most deem this as the genuine sequel since Death Adder is in this one while GA2 on the genesis had a new guy named Dark Guld who acted almost like Death Bringer (the real final boss in the Genesis version of Golden Axe) who was likely Death Adder's mentor.
figment1988 You're certainly right. As far as the story goes this is definitely the true sequel. And I always loved having those two extra levels on the console version...was a nice surprise!
Benjamin Woodring one thing i can theorize about Golden Axe II it was a form of filler which implied that Dark Guld decided to pick up where Death Adder failed and then taking control of Yuria which gave Death Adder some time to recover from his failure in Golden Axe 1, and in turn, get his revenge (which leads to the events of GA:RoDA)
The arcade games was completely different yo the game released on the Sega genesis
Muito bom!
Awesome!!!
Thanks!!
I've got the PCB for this for a damn good price at 40 bucks. I am working on a repro cabinet for this. Would really love to know what the monitor was on this. :) Though it seems like it has no problems with synch on any monitor though.
monitor shouldn't be a problem with that board.
I remember a 4 player that was a semi top view cabinet. Not suure it was Golden Ax. But the character look similiar
I have never seen this game in anything other than a dedicated cabinets. I do believe it has to be four players, so what else could it go in? Ninja Turtles or Gauntlet?
This game PCB allows you to select the number of players that will appear on screen--so you can put it into a 2, 3 or 4 player cabinet! This cabinet is much smaller than the Konami TMNT and Simpsons Cabinets. Sega Spiderman was also released in this same cabinet!
So let me get this straight... You can detach the entire control panel so that the cabinet is no wider than a normal dynamo cab?
Yes...all 4 player games have to have this feature, otherwise you couldn;t get the game into most stores with one door!
Exactly. I now have another game on my wishlist :)
Is this still available ?
Sadly, this was sold back in January 2014 when we published the video...we make these videos when someone buys the game. Sorry!
Cant wait to get the Sunset raiders ;p
Ahhhh! It's YOU!! Yes...you will be thrilled!!
I wish I could alter my Simpson cabinet to this golden axe2
Its not an easy conversion...since its running a different system.
How much did that one sell for
