i came across this song a few years ago after watching an amv for the dragon prince. i remember really really enjoying this song, but sadly forgot about it. skip forward several months and i'd met my ex abuser. they re-introduced me to this song through our roleplays (we were writing partners), and it gave me an entirely new association to the song that was riddled with pain and heartbreak. i wasnt able to listen to this because it brought back those memories, and with it the pain and sacrifices i made.
today i went through all my phone's files and cleared out the pictures and videos we shared with eachother and freed up a fuck ton of space. it was painful, it was hard, i had to take a trip down memory lane and remember all the good moments we shared when they werent cruel and horrible to me, but i came through the other side of the tunnel. i feel like a weight has been lifted.
i just fully listened to this song for the first time in ages without feeling weighed down by the painful painful memories. the association is still kind of there, but i feel happy that i can listen to this song again. its so good....
ive never been a indie fan, then i stumbled onto this channel and now im obsessed
