I am very libertarian in many respects but I do understand we have to be willing to protect our own interests when necessary. My older brother is more full bore libertarian and thinks we should have open borders and shouldn't do anything to combat American businesses getting entrenched with China. "It shouldn't be the governments business how I get involved with China" he says. I tell him that China doesn't give a damn about your libertarian values...or illegal immigrants for that matter. You're gonna libertarian yourself out of relevance and before you know it.
I like the Austrian school of economics a lot, not sure if that by itself makes me a libertarian. Especially when I think that it's about time we "water the tree of liberty" because that's the only proper attitude to have towards Socialists.
If you love liberty, you have to accept that it's something that people have had to spill blood over and that you must be willing to do this too when people show up who want to take your liberty, even if they aren't overtly using force themselves, they are mortal enemies the moment they attempt to.

Interesting point. This should be applicablebe to religion too with the arguments you provide. Religion has killed even more people, created even more suffering, and started even more wars than socialism. How come you do not condemn religion? The thing is that religion is not bad in itself, it is the people who abuse it who are bad and create suffering. That is the case for socialism too. It becomes easier to abuse power withing socialism even though the ideology is not evil in itself. Nazism on the other hand, has a straight up evil agenda and hatred towards the existence of certain people. Now tell me, what would make socialism worse than religion?
Libertarians don't want to bother anyone, as long as you aren't bothering anyone else. Conservatives are just as willing to impose their values on the left as the left is willing to impose their values on the right. It's just that the left mostly tries to control economics and the right mostly tries to control cultural stuff.
And that's why libertarian ideology is always unsustainable: there will always be a standard of morality imposed on society. It's up to society to decide which is best. History has proven time and time again that you cannot have a "live and let live" society. Human nature won't allow it.

Guuuurl, I love you very much, your story has made me cry many many times and I really feel sorry for what you had to go through and for what millions of people are currently going through in North Korea. However, you really need to learn the difference between socialism/marxism/communism and a dictatorship. The Kims can claim that they are socialists/communists (which is an ideology) but they are NOT. Dear Karl Marx explains that this ideology demands equality between everyone (including the leaders); no one is better than anyone, no one deserves more than another, and no one gets more than the other. Currently and throughout history there has never existed a place where this ideology has been perfectly implemented. Many try to use it to attract voters, but they never manage to achieve what Marx claimed. North Korea may claim to be communist/socialist but that is as true as their claims for being a "democratic" "republic"... They are a dictatorship and a monarchy (which is a way of governing, not an ideology). This goes against everything Marx and Engels describe, and since they are the "fathers" of communism, their word is the only one that matters.
You are an amazing person, who has suffered so much and has managed to achieve so much, not just for yourself but for many others like you, going through the same things you've gone through. I respect you so much, but please, please STOP blaming communism/socialism for the suffering of the people of North Korea. The ideology has absolutely nothing to do with it. I honestly feel that the biggest reason freedom is losing ground is because all people want to do is complain. i went to a meeting recently where they wanted to rezone our district: destroy things around here, take away freedoms I grew up with. There were many emails to the commissioners saying no. Not many showed at the meeting. The emails were barely discussed; they were dismissed with "we put them in the record". It didn't matter. But those of us who showed actually had a voice... we still lost. there weren't enough of us. There wasn't enough outrage.
An email isn't enough. Complaining on twitter and watching these videos isn't enough. We have to petition to have things repealed. This is a power we have. We should use it. We have to stand up.

Being actively involved on the conservative side of politics I can’t tell you how many people claim to support conservative views but won’t do even the smallest thing to help. Some won’t even bother to vote. I have been working on getting 2-3 people to vote but if you don’t vote or get further involved because if “no time” and have kids I have to ask:
“Do you have 1 hour a month for your child’s future?”
The not voting part though, maybe it's not exactly what you mean but in my country we're having elections this month and what's been happening here is that leftists masquerading as right wingers have been attempting to dissuade people from voting, especially targeting supporters of a party named "FvD".
They use arguments like "Because the system is corrupt and rigged anyway, so why bother?" and I don't get how people fall for this as no vote is an automatic vote in favour of your opponents, but they do.
I personally don't think that voting is going to help us much anymore because the corruption in our government and institutions has already spread too deep, with a successfully subverted population too boot. I'm willing to take to the streets and take the country back in a fashion that the founding fathers of America would be proud of, but everyone around me seems like a bunch of spineless cowards. I genuinely believe in "better dead than red".

I've watched your videos for years now and I've noticed a theme of you shaming people for caring about more than one thing or caring about things other than North Korea. We can care about what's happening in North Korea and also care about climate change or animal welfare or politics in other countries. There are other serious human rights issues going on right now. Like 5-6000 children being killed by Israel this month. North Korea is not the only major threat to humanity. I know it's more important to you because that's your experience, and yes it does matter, but you shouldn't talk down about other serious issues.
The problem is that other causes compete with _her_ pet cause for your attention. Can't have that.
The problems in my own country concern me way more than whatever is going on in the Middle-East. The people directly around me are suffering, that's what I care about.
That conflict is just another way that the establishment is trying to pit us against each other, to get us to right the wrong opponent while the establishment just continues pushing their agenda with very few people noticing.

The people underwriting her aren't interested in North Korea _per se_ . They're interested in promoting their far-right political agenda, and North Korea is relegated to being a source of anecdotal and illustrative material to underline the political rhetoric presented by their rare and trophy speaker, a convert to their cause from an "axis of evil" country who speaks English and as a bonus comes with some sex appeal. Video views have plummeted because the character of the channel _has_ changed from what people originally came here for, and it's not going to go back to what it was. Ms Park has also been missing in action for at least a couple of months, and I suspect that the channel is actually being run at the moment by her video editors or minders.

I think you would get along well with New Tang Dynasty (America-based anti-CCP Falun Gong news), or people like China Uncensored, laowhy86, or serpentza, because they all do anti-CCP coverage mostly. I think North Korea isn't as scary for people who don't live in Northeast Asia, but what should be scary to everyone in the world is Xi Jinping making China more like North Korea the way it was under Mao Zedong again.

She has done interviews with China Uncensored, i am 99.9% sure. A year or two back, maybe 3. I also think she may have done stuff with Winston and C-Milk from the China Show (Serpentza and laohwhy86), although i could be wrong about that one.
A few years ago she was very strong im the algorithm, i think she took some time off though and it stopped a lot of the channel's momentum. It seems like she has been working hard at bringing it back though, and im seeing her often again. She probably faces some politically motivated shadow-banning as well, since her beliefs are directly against the communist scum in charge of big tech
