I love Morgan. Incredible talent. But Joni--no one can match her. When people sing her songs, they do covers. When she sings her songs, they are completely hers. She's lived them and no one can duplicate them. It's like people trying to cover Dylan songs, or Elvis Costello, or the Beatles, or Prince. These people are geniuses and one of a kind.

BEAUTIFUL MORGAN...
Morgan ~~ This is a more recent video of yours than others I've seen/heard. Your earlier ones have a pronounced high-mid (2K) peak on your voice. Since it was the same on several different mic types, I thought it was your voice or the same poor producer/engineer. I'm so happy to hear that with a quality mic, that peak is gone and reveals a truly outstanding voice. I'm pretty sure the upgrade is not due to an upgraded engineer, because the eng here has made an error-- different, less noticeable, but a rookie mistake that shouldn't have been. "P's " are exploding. Yes, someone is going to say "we had to remove the hoop pop filter from in front of the mic so the video looks better". Yeah, OK, fine; but there is low-cut available in the mixing console and it wasn't engaged during recording or post-mixing. Likely the reason it wasn't noticed/heard is that small moderately-priced speakers or cheap headphones were used to listen. Again, not the Pro's way.
Regardless, your talent is superlative and you'll get past this minor snag. Hope to hear you in Santa Cruz this spring.
