i knew it was time to change my fuel line out when you can smell the ethonal fuel thru the rubber. i only did ptfe for the run under the car with steel bradeing. I did rubber lines under the hood that were easy to replace.
How about continuing with the e85 segment with maintaining your fuel system, plugs injectors & everything else that comes in contact with these newer fuels
What’s your opinion on the EVIL ENERGY PTFE Fuel Line? It’s rated for E85 and is Nylon Braided Fuel Hose kit. Seems like it would be the best of both worlds. Love the content. Very informative. Thank you so much!
Hey brother you always ask for video ideas, how about connecting and setting up a psi tcm-2650 for the 6L80 trans so can be controlled with a Holley dominator efi ecu
Can we get Expert James Taal to chime in on alcohol rotting fuel lines, and the risks of not having fuel filters ;) Also, jokes aside: It's worth mentioning that PTFE is TEFLON, not Nylon.
@Bruce Cole until the debris is big enough it hangs the injectors open, as has happened to James on several occasions. Cheaper and less BS involved by simply adding a filter lol
I worked at a shop where we made lots of different hoses mostly for gas and oil, but also smaller hydraulic style as well. The reusable fittings on the cloth hose are stupid simple to use. The ones we used had a reverse thread on the sleeve (B nut), the threaded onto the outside of the hose, then the fitting screwed into it and in the hose. The smaller hoses I could knock out in a few minutes. We also did braided stainless PTFE, but we crimped those. The biggest issue we always had with the PTFE was cutting the hose without the braided cover "flowering" out. We had a few methods we used to prevent it from happening, but some days it just wouldn't cooperate. I actually stopped at the shop recently because a friend needed an oil feed line for a car that was sitting on his dyno. The hydraulic shop was busy, so they told me I could make the hose myself if I wanted since I knew where everything was, and I'm still friends with everyone there anyway. I cussed, a lot, while trying to cut the hose. Once I got it though, it went good. Just had to get the crimper dialed in for such a small crimp.
Fragola is my favorite. Listen. What about PEX? Impervious to E85 and methanol. Good for 750 PSI. I’m trying it on a build I’m doing now. It’s cheap and I don’t have to order online.
What about the hard/rigid line that comes on the non Flex Mopars? I think the flex and non flex use the same hard line but the flexible ends are different.
Great video Doug I was just wondering what is the best line for alcohol blends for the long run. What are your thoughts on hard line? And what metal would be best against the corrosiveness I'm guessing stainless steel.
Funny you say PTFE is a "bear" to assemble. I personally find it easier than braided rubber line to assemble. BUT the PTFE line I use doesnt that that coating on the outside so I'm sure the style of PTFE line you use adds to the difficulty.
Is that blazer a challenger for rocky!! Cause if so it’s gonna need a lot of mods to keep up with rocky at the McFarland compound. Fan of the channel dougie fresh, love all the info on all your parts.
Same as cutting the skive back on an hydraulic hoses and the an standard is the same as our 600 series Feld attachable fittings just made from alloy not steel thanks for the info good to know that you have hoses we can use with E85 👍👍👍
Love your stuff. You need to eliminate the words "basically" and " UM" from your vocabulary. This will be one of the hardest things you will ever do but you will be a better presenter. You can do it!
Dang looking cute in that flannel
Hey bae
Hey big ole baba boy
Let's race for pink slips lol
Fancy seeing you here.
In that shirt

I love your answer. "It depends". How about saying, "I don't know".
No, it depends.
Is Evil Energy the best?
What's the best submersible in tank hose?
What about Viton lined hose like Raceflux sells?
Thanks
Doug. You so smart. Thanks
No super stock ?
"When was the last time your car was together for more than 4 years?" I feel attacked.
lol. More like, "when was the last time your car was together?"
Thats why i feel insulted if somebody calls me a car guy, my cars actually work and runs damn it
Any racer worth there salt would carry extra hose and fittings!
How much flow does each line size flow and how much flow do you need per hp per fuel type
Can you use super glue and painters tape to get a clean cut like in a puddin’s fab shop did??
This is why I love youtube! I hope people keep sharing tips and tricks, love this community!
Post a link. I want to watch that.

Fastenall gel glue works awesome too
I like the AQP FNC socketless
Good to know!
What about hose that stays submerged? For example the hose from an in-tank pump up to the hat.
Yeah.. he missed that application.
How about continuing with the e85 segment with maintaining your fuel system, plugs injectors & everything else that comes in contact with these newer fuels
love reading thru all the comments, so much to learn and correct. Please update Nova
how about fuel line sizing and pump sizing and filters needed
Another good one Guys!!!
Thanks Doug, any update on the Nova?

I sure wouldn’t use any cheap versions of either. I’ve tried the cheap stuff and now Fragola is all I buy. I prefer the PTFE though.
Thank you. I couldn’t find the word he was saying haha. “Fragola”.
On it.

Its fragile with the leg lamp in the CHRISTMAS story 👍🏻😎

Speaking of fuel for terminator X is there a way to have a pump 93 tune and a race gas tune.
Another great video! What type of line should be used for Methanol? Same as Ethanol?

@Bruce Cole oh yea i got it, i think he has Precision 550s imagine how big it would take to pass what was sticking in those water nozzles of injectors
Are both NHRA approved?
Hard line?

Why don't you ask George about nitrous back fire and how to prevent them.

Is one line better than the other when it comes to heat protection?

I'd like to know your pros and cons of a top feed fuel cell vs. Sump fuel cells.
Great video Doug I was just wondering what is the best line for alcohol blends for the long run. What are your thoughts on hard line? And what metal would be best against the corrosiveness I'm guessing stainless steel.
It really just depends... Good answer doctor obvious ...

You might be right. Again just personal preference/feedback. We just wanted to show both from both sides.
Are they compatible with methanol too?

Why don't you do a 60 second update on the Nova once a week.
PTFE more expensive? Not on your site. The PTFE you stock is cheaper per foot. Check.
-10 PTFE is 2.00 a foot cheaper on your site.
Line is cheaper, fittings are more expensive

George’s blazer is yellow now? 😂
I use mcdonalds straws and duct tape

You've got another 9 to go lol

FYI, Motion Raceworks valve covers getting some coverage in this build: ruclips.net/video/YNdhSoggpJA/видео.html
