    Dude... that cat talked!!
Here to figure out what Japanese rifles were finished with back in the day, and if a product exists that I can use to add back a urushi lacquer finish to rifles that have been stripped. Thank you. I believe they were finished with 'transparent urushi lacquer.'
There is a strong desire in the US to know the exact-ish mix of urushi lacquer for Japanese rifles of the ~WW1 to ~WW2 timeframe. Honestly, because many Japanese rifles are in the US, and we want to conserve them. Some have had it rough once they got here, and we'd like to restore them.
Any help with this is greatly appreciated! If you know or can figure it out, would be amazing for many!

Thanks for the video! It's very helpful. Do you know if there's a urushi type that cure more clear? I would like to use it as a natural sealer

Thank you for your comment ^^ Translucent Urushi will cure clearer. You can lower the brown colouration by reducing the humidity and temperature in the furo too

Meow~ Thanks for your comment, Jimmy. The colour will be slightly different if you use a different type of translucent urushi

ein gute Video, Farbe ist heller (nicht soviel braun) bei weniger Luftfeuchte und niedriger Temperatur.

If you are not allergic you will get allergic over time. Talk to your doctor if you're not sure if this is ok
