S01E05 We Go to the Corsican Mountain

With all this fitting, equipment, and lockdown and traffic restrictions, we hadn't had a chance to go on a weekend with Phil yet.
For this first, we chose the mountain and the 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬 (Bocca di Verghju). The road is beautiful, and with 4 passes to go, it was also an opportunity to test Phil !
We had some great encounters in the forest of Aîtone such as “𝐋𝐞𝐬 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐝'𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐝” which roadtrip Corsica by moped

We had the good idea to stop for lunch before the 120 Porsches of the 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐭 𝟔 𝐑𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 passed by, who took the same road as us

And of course, we met a lot of pigs running free in the Aïtone forest !
We bivouacked at the campsite of the 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 𝐝𝐮 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐨. Mainly reserved for hikers' tents on the famous GR20, there are a few motorhome pitches in the middle of the pines. A quiet night in the heart of nature !

Finally, on Sunday morning, we did a little hike from Col de Vergio to an ancient glacial lake, 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐳𝐢, with pozzi and we had the chance not to meet anyone and to have these majestic landscapes to ourselves and the drone .
